Trading Beck to the Broncos?

If Jay Cutler gets traded, any chance the Broncos could be interested in acquiring beck? There only other QB on the rosters is Chris Simms, what value could we get for the former second round pick beck? Maybe a 4th or 5th? Or is there a player we could trade for?

Thoughts?
 
McDaniels signed Simms and is paying him more money than Cutler is getting. Im not sure the idea that they will want a qb in return is so true. I think whoever is willing to give up the most picks gets him.
 
I wouldn't rule it out. Someone is going to want to bring Beck in as a back up and to see what he has after all he has gone through.

But I do agree, the Broncos will probably be looking for a QB in hte deal, and will probably draft a QB too so McDaniels can have a new friend after losing out on Cassel.

I tell you what, If I were a Denver fan and they were getting rid of Jay and thinking Chris Simms will be their starter, I'm refunding my season tickets. That would be a real dumb move on Denvers part. JMO.
 
If your Denver fan, seeing the way they axed the defense and the 30+ castoffs they have signed to replace them so far along with all this rediculous Cutler crap i would have cashed in my tickets long ago.

they want Jay to stay, unfortunately for the Broncos Jay doesn't feel the same way. the whole situation was handled very poorly by both parties.

Depends on what they get in exchange for Cutler
 
If Beck does get dealt it will will most likely happen during or after the preseason, he will have to have shown improvement and potential. This is also the time injuries to the QB position will hit around the league. Which means if we do trade him it will be for a 2010 draft pick not 2009.

I'm pretty sure that we'll know if you're wrong whether you let us know or not. :)
 
Seeing that McDaniels came from the AFC East and saw what Beck offered in '07, i think he would go after another backup QB on another roster, i.e. Luke McCown, TB or Drew Stanton, Det etc., but i may be wrong, maybe Beck is the type of guy McDaniels thinks he mold into a good QB, just my outlook
 
At this point getting a 4th for Beck would be AAAAAAAAAmazing!

Teams know he's outta here so unless we get really lucky and 2 or 3 teams decide they'd like to have him in camp --- and thus bid the price up a little, I doubt we'll get anything better than a 6th, and maybe not even that.

The truth is, in retrospect, this is one deal the vaunted brass should have made last year when they could've gotten a 5th for Becky.

Win some (JT) lose some...

Nobody except Cam would trade for Beck at this point, and even that's doubtful. We'll end up drafting a QB in the late rounds or picking up an UDFA QB, and then it's either bye-bye Beck right away or after a little bit of competition in camp.

The whole league knows that so why would anyone give up a pick for him?
 
Lets see.....The Broncos trade a pro bowl starter so that means they may be interested in picking up a 3rd string guy. Yea. That makes sense. Wtf would the Broncos want with Beck??? If they lose Cutler, they will be in the market for a starting caliber QB either in trade, FA, or the draft, not a complete bum like Beck.
