Am I the only one upset that our Training Camp doesnt start till late this weekend? Watching the majority of the teams up and running gives me the feeling like we are falling behind already.

By the time our players are just getting the rust out practice 2 or 3 the majority of the rest of the league is already 10-15 practices in.

Any Idea why? Or am i just making a big deal out of nothing.

Hell even NE is up and running. In the long run I think this is a bad move.

I was actually curious about the logic behind this as well. I'm sure Sparano will be asked about it in one of the first pressers...
 
You're probably the only one. I really think that it doesn't make one bit of difference whether you start before or after everybody else starts. What matters is how hard you work once the first whistle of training camp blows up until the final whistle of camp. Honestly, I'm just happy that football season is just around the corner.

Yes, you are making a big deal out of nothing.

Teams are only allowed to start training camp up to 15 days before their first exhibition game. The NFL made an exception for one preseason game this year, but for the rest of the teams that rule stands.

Most teams start their training camps about 14-15 days before their first preseason game.

NE's first game is August 13th, so in order for them to get their amount of scheduled practices in before that game, they have to start before we do.

Miami's first game is not until August 17th, so to get in our 14-15 days of practices we don't have to start until August 2nd.
 
No problem..

I am very anxious as well and can't wait ;)
