Hey DolFans,

I am planning a trip to see a Phins home game sometime this season and was wondering if you had any tips or deals you knew of. Cheap flights, sweet places to stay etc.

I'm tired of being yelled at in the NY area and want to be in the majority at a game finally!!

Thanks!!

I always just use sidestep to find the best (plane) ticket price, although I admit, I don't make it down to Miami as often as I used to (and I usually stay with family/friends, so no help there either).

While you always take the risk of buying a pig in a poke and there are no cancellations, I've never had anything other than a great hotel and buy when using hotwire.

As far as NY/FLL rt flights, I've usually gotten my best deals on Spirit (lots of delays though) and Jet Blue (if you book well in advance) which is a terrific airline. You might also get a break if you play around with arrivals/departures from each of the 3 metro airports.. sometimes there really is a big $ disparity.

You'll have a great time though, whatever you do decide.

Depending on the game, don't count on being in the majority just because you are rooting for the Dolphins at Dolphin's Stadium. Seriously, check out JetBlue and AirTran flying to Fort Lauderdale (much easier than Miami).

yes...JetBlue from Newark to Ft. Lauderdale is the way to go from my experiences!

Make sure you take sun block, sunglasses, and a cap. You are sitting directly in sunlight for 3 hours with no shield in many spots. You'll have a blast.

Where you stay depends alot on what you want to do while your there and who you are traveling with. Most people want to party it up either in South Beach of Ft Lauderdale, if you are just going for the game the best place to stay is right next door at the El Palacio hotel. There is nothing like standing on your balcony the night before the game and seeing the stadium all lit up. Only thing that beats that is waking up the day of the game and looking out your balcony doors from your bed and seeing the stadium just wating for you.

There really isn't much to do around there as far as partying however, they have a bar upstairs and a couple of clubs down the street, most people are at the beach. The hotel has a shuttle that takes you over if you dont want to drive, if you really dont mind it is close enough to walk(about a mile or so).

I have tickets to all Miami Dolphins home and away games. All of my home game tickets include a tail-gate party which have open bar (free Beer, Alcohol, Water and soda) and a BBQ or Buffett. Its the best deal on line, visit www.premiumseatsusa.com for more info or contact me directly at (866)312-9295. Ask for Cesar or anyone in my office can help you out.
