travis daniels will make you forget about pat surtain

I like Travis Daniels and I think hes gonna be a great starter, but lets nopt jump the gun yet. Patrick Surtain is a top 5 CB IMO. Danielsand poole will make our CB posistion solid for years to come.

Poole is done for the year. We won't see him back until 2006. While I don't think Daniels can ever replace Surtain, I do like that we have two very good young CBs in Poole and Daniels. It would be nice to see Saban add another 4th round CB next year and a first day Saftey. :D

I hear the injury isn't bad at all, Daniels said it wouldnt even affect his running but he didn't want to take any chances in just a preseason game...and the coaches agreed.

Well at least it is a minor injury, which reminds me exactly of Surtain. I hope will poole recovers fully from his injury, becuase I would love to think that we have pat's and Sam's replacements already on the team.

He could. I see Madison playing only two more seasons for us(2005 & 2006). Hopefully Poole can recover completely from his surgery, because along with Daniels, they could be pretty solid. I don't think there will ever be a tandem as good as Surtain and Madison, but they can do well.

MAdison and Surtain was like the best CB duo in the NFL
and if u want my 2 cents Poole last year really didnt impress me that much i think Daniels is doing a better job than him.

Poole was good for a rookie but no were near Surtain or Madison.

Travis Daniels won't be out for more than a day. He said during the game that his hammy tightened up, and he came out just to make sure it didn't get worse.

If it was a regular season game, you can bet your @ss he would have stayed in. No big deal at all here.

I'll never forget Pat and Daniels does look promising (I have my fingers crossed) but was chosen in the 4th for a reason and has a LONG way to go to become an elite CB. Best of luck to him....and us in return. I'm more excited about Poole in the future.
