Hello,

I haven't many information on him in europe, but this guy seems a good prospect with a good accuracy in pocket protection, his only problem seem his fumbling when run with the ball in hands.

Opinions on him because if quinn isn't here he could be a good pick in the fourth and we can concentrate to solve other need OL,CB,WR with our premium pick.

first he has to stay healthy, did not play on a top college team stanford, has great size, worth a gamble in the fourth,

and if he's healthy, do you think he could become a solid starters in years to come or just a back up in your opinions ?

i would love him in the 3rd...i think he be wrothy of that pick..like ive said before i know every 1 loves quinn and russell and stanton and for good reason, they r great..but edwards does have the tools and potential to be a good nfl starter..yeah he does have his drawbacks but doesnt every player have a questions mark...i say draft and let cam mold him into a starter

I don't see anything special to him nor do I to Kolb (although I rank him higher). Troy Smith somewhat I have an appreciation for but not to any extreme. Drew Stanton also I'm not that impressed by.

Frankly as the last poster said I'd like to address another offensive linemen instead.

He has the tools to be a great player but has never put it together. I have little confidence he will be a long term answer as he has never led his team to anything but dreadful seasons. My preference would be to draft a lineman or backup/3rd down back to add dept in the 4th round.

Could the fact that he played on a dreadful team have anything to do with it? It's a little hard to "put it together" when you are running for your life. Just ask Archie Manning.

Jay Cutler seemed to do just fine with it. Sorry, but that performance against UCLA really hurt Edwards when I go back and watch it once more.

Edwards had good games but playing for that team and that OL of his stunk...i think of him as a project and think that miami would be great for him..let culpepper play and let edwards learn the system...dont rush him...imo i think will he will be fine

Dude, they were 1-10 and scored more than 10 points only twice. Save USC, the PAC 10 is not known for stellar defense. I know he only played in 7 games but he never threw for more than 233 yards (against mighty San Jose). You have to lay at least some of the responsibilty for lack of scoring on the starting QB. I would agree he has the physical skills and certainly showed up at the combine in tremendous shape, but I just don't think he's worth the draft pick. If we can't get Quinn or Stanton, I would wait until next year to draft our QB and hope CPep shows up this year. If we do draft him, I HOPE I'm wrong.

Trent Edwards is the "unknown" factor, he was a top recruit out of high school and he has all the tools you look for in a QB. He just couldnt stay healthy, and he had a really bad team around him, had he went to a better school then he could have put up huge numbers.

I say we take a shot at him in the later rounds, but I would prefer Drew Stanton in the 2nd round

I also like Stanton tho I think he'll be gone before the 40th pick.....I'd look and Beck in the 4th round area.

Ozzy rules!!
