I see the Dolphin visit with Stanfords Trent Edwards may getting lost in the Quinn shuffle...
They say he is very smart, has great intangibles, can go through his progressions, has great feet, can make all the throws and is very accurate with a quick release. Apparently his injury concerns have more to do with the poor talent in protection than a break down of his body.
None other than Bill Walsh give Edwards a huge endorsement. Projected to be a much better pro than college player based on systems and surrounding talent.
Do you think if the Quinn deal doesn't happen... we'll look at Edwards with the 60th pick?
- Stanford QB Trent Edwards had a personal interview with the Dolphins on April 5. He had dinner with Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron and general manager Randy Mueller. On April 6, they watched videotape together at Stanford, followed by an hour's workout in which Edwards threw to San Jose State receiver James Jones. David Lofton, son of Hall of Famer James Lofton, participated in the drills as a defensive back. Four years ago, the two mosted highly-rated recruits coming out of high school were Vince Young and Edwards.
