I, for one, do not want Trent Green. I would much rather take my chances with Culpepper again. Trent Green is one hit away from ending his career and I know Culpepper is almost just as bad but Culpepper was and is the better qb. I say keep Culpepper for one more year see what he does, if he can't play the whole season bring in lemon to finish it out or a qb that i think we should take in the draft. If Quinn falls to us, take him...if not wait till the 2nd round and pick up another quality qb like stanton or pretty much any qb that falls down there at that point even troy smith. Lets not forget that he did win the heisman, whether he is 5'2 or 7'2.

So basically you are saying you want Lemon to lead this team this year.Pep is done, a rook needs at least 1 year to develop if not 2. No thanks I'll take Green.

Forget Daunte Bumpepper, Trent Green can play right now. Every player is one hit away from ending their career. Troy Smith? Just because he won the heisman doens't mean nothing in the big leagues, see Charlie Ward and Eric Crouch.

Anybody that thinks Trent Green is the future is nuts, he is only here for a stop gap time.

I too would rather have Culpepper under center than Green. The ONLY way I would be happy with the Fins trading for Green is if, and only if, we draft Brady Quinn. Green has only one year left, and maybe not even that. But he would be the better QB to help teach Brady the offense. Quinn is still not a gurantee, but a much safer bet than anyone else. I'd hate for the fins to drop Daunte, trade for Green, and raise a rookie who pulls a Ryan Leaf next year.

Yeah that was a pretty lame comment. (throw in Geoff Toretta)

right now im not crazy about the ideal of trent green being our starting qb in '07 but what r the options? lemon..no thanks..culpeper..yes we need to be patient with him but even he said he is not sure he would be ready by july..well then that leaves us with 1 option..trade a 6th rd pick for green and draft the best ava. rookie qb..hopefully trent edwards in the 2nd rd.

Every quarterback in the NFL is one hit away from ending their career. Just ask Joe Theisman.

i think green has 2 good years left. remember he sat out 6 years before he got a chance to start so his age is kind of deceving. he still has a good are and is mobile, which is important concidering our line. cpepper will get sack millions of time this year because him is IMMOBILE now. the only reason he use to be good is because he could scramble. his knee is too F****D Up to play. his career is over. we might be able to get something out of him from oakland. and remember green has lead the KC to the playoffs the last few years and the chief arent good at all. all they have is gonzo and LJ. our team beat them last year with joey so i think he gives us a decent chance to make playoffs or even a 8-8 record. green gives us the best chance to win and to groom quinn or another QB we get in the draft, which if not quinn i hope is BYU QB John Beck. we probably can get green for a 6th rounder or even nothing because KC will release him around July if no trade evolves because they cant pay a third string QB 7.2 million dollars. he will be third string because they are moving brodie croyle up to #2 to get him some experience cuz he is there franchise QB. Green will be in Miami next year.

Its time to face reality. Trent Green is coming to Miami and Culpepper will be gone. Theres no point in going back and forth, this is the reality of it, and its time to just deal with it.

Now I fully support DC and dont want him to go nor do I want Green. However, the only bright side of Green coming here is that he will mentor our QB that we draft, cough cough...Brady Quinn, cough cough. With the signing of Shea, and Green coming, it couldnt be more obvious we are going to get Quinn.

I would love to hold onto Daunte and see him at 100%, but I dont see Miami keeping him. Yes it sucks, but look at the bright side. We will have our future QB in Quinn.

ummmi dno if u noticed but no one is jst gonna say, o look Miami signed shea and Trent Green, lets just pass on Quinn and let them get him. We're not definitly gettin Quinn theres a very big possibilty he won't fall to us at #9.

Give up on Cpepper the guy is done!

Oh ok, gee thanks for summing it all up for me.

And Green isn't done? The guy is 37 and spent most of the year on the sidelines because of a concussion and a head injury. Head injuries like that can flare up again if he sneezes too hard.

Now I'm not an eternal optimist, thinking that Cpep will return to his pro bowl form. I have high hopes for him still, yet everyday goes by and I become more and more pessimistic about Cpep's recovery. HOWEVER, given the choice between 2 glass houses, I'd rather have the one that is already on the roster and who still has maybe 7-8 years of playing at a high level if he fully recovers from his injury.

I honestly don't believe that Green will be able to make it through a full season anymore. He is a 37 year old QB, coming off of a serious head injury. No thanks, I'd rather take the lesser of the 2 evils; Culpepper.

Even if Daunte is healthy he will not be back. Cam's system requires a fast thinking and reacting quarterback, something C-Pep is not.

Do you remember him having all day to pass the ball only to stare down his receivers or take a sack. He does not have the mental aptitude to play in this offense.

The lesser of the two evils is Trent Green. Thats an easy answer. TG knows the system, is familiar with Cam, concussions arent unfamiliar in the nfl, and he would be a better transition for our rookie qb. I honestly dont want Cpep giving our rookie qb any advice. Not to mention that we dont know if CPep can make it through a full season anymore either. His knee is banged up my friend. Of the two evils, TG is the better choice.
