I don't think what Green did was wrong I just think there is a little bit of a doublt standard. Maybe because it isn't the dolphins that are being hurt by Green or maybe because people just don't like Culpepper I don't know. But Culpepper sent an email to the media explaining his injury and how until this week he fully expected to be the starting QB for the dolphins this year. Nothing he said hurt the dolphins in anyway. Trent Green on the other hand goes to the media and tells them that he will not play for KC this year, ending any chances they have at getting compensation for him. Obviously that is a good thing for the Dolphins, but does that not make him a bigger jerk than Culpepper?
Even if the GM told him "privately" that they wanted to get younger, does that justify going to the media. I though, as someone said concerning Culpepper, these things are suppose to be "kept in house".
Personally I don't have a problem with what Green did or what Culpepper did. I don't even think Culpepper was wrong for what he did in Minnesota. I think players should have as much right as teams to put out information that is beneficial to them. The only time I have a problem with it is when they are being unproffesional about it or just trying to hurt the organization or make them look bad. Green is looking out for his best intrest, just like Culpepper; just like Peterson and Mueller.
