The Dolphins are still trying to get a feel for what they have in this rookie draft class beyond starting right tackle Ja’Wuan James and highly praised receiver Jarvis Landry.

During Saturday’s scrimmage, two of their lower-round picks — linebacker Jordan Tripp and defensive end Terrence Fede — made a case for roster spots.
Tripp, a fifth-round pick from Montana, stripped undrafted Oklahoma rookie running back Damien Williams and returned it 73 yards for a touchdown.
“Jordan Tripp is good at a lot of things,” linebackers coach Mark Duffner said a few days ago. “He’s a highly competitive guy. He’s got great desire to be a great player and the athletic skills to do it and pretty good awareness. I’m excited what I see so far.”

I really hope he becomes Miami's version of Kiko Alonso but that might be asking a lot.

I'd settle for Zach Thomas (also drafted 5th round iirc)...still...asking a lot.

Maybe I'm just too young but who?

Bills LB...he's out for the season this year. Had a monster rookie year.

Honestly never heard of kiko I guess I need to follow buffalo closer

Wow. People seriously don't know freakin' Kiko? I thought he was pretty well known, especially if you care enough about football to go on a team website

He was a rookie last year shrugs you act like he's been dominating for years

That's right. It's not like Alonso set the world on fire last year. People here tend to underrate Miami players and overrate other teams' guys.

Kiko was VG in coverage with 4 picks and 3 TD's. He was also below average on the run, and on the pass rush, as a 2nd round pick. He's a 3-4 ILB who had 4 good games for the year.

I had to look that up, as I knew little about him. Guess I don't follow the NFL, and should know more to be on a team's forum. Then again, I guess those who do should have known more than his 4 games of highlights. :)

dominating for years or not, the dolphins play buffalo twice every year. if you watch the dolphins games, you would have heard of kiko alonso. it would have been impossible not to. he had like 12 total tackles against us in the two games.

I knew him just from watching our games..
He is the oregon lb we should of took

Tripp will be Zach Thomas part 2. Mark it dude.
Mark it is right on Pepperwood. The kid is agile as he**, he won all the agility competitions at the Senior bowl and has a 38 vertical leap with 4.5 speed, look out:up:. He is a freak and was the best linebacker at the Senior bowl by far.

"Tripp excelled in the 20-yard shuttle finishing with a time of 3.96 seconds. Tripp's time tied Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk for the best finish in that event since 2006."
