Linebacker Jordan Tripp is trying to make a big jump in his second season in the NFL, and what he showed in practice Saturday certainly gave reason for optimism.
Tripp, a fifth-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft, got some snaps with the first-team defense and turned in a solid practice performance highlighted by a would-be sack of quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
“Completely different player,” is how Tripp described himself. “I’ve learned a lot of things and I’m going to continue to progress in forward fashion. Coming back for a second year allows you to focus your willpower on playing. You have a better relationship with the coaches, the players, a lot of them are some of your best firends. It’s just a lot easier to communicate that way and it makes it a lot of fun because it’s not only a relationshp on the field, it’s the same off the field.”
