:dolphins: i love troy smith even more after today's senior bowl..is he worth the 9th pick you better believe it..he has all the tools and can make all the throws to be a solid qb in the nfl.but i also love okoye dt from louisville and wr ted ginn from ohio state.okoye is only 19 6'6 287 wow this kid can bulk up to 315-320 and he will be a force for the next 10 years plus in the nfl and for the fins with traylor and big daddy old in the tooth this pick will be much welcomed.and teddy ginn with his blazing speed and his playmaking ability both as wr and kick/punt returner would be an awesome pick as well.so my 3 players for fins in 1st round no order okoye smith and ginn.you dolfans?hey carricker looks sweet too he would look great opposite of jt huh?then there is the broncos who have two first draft picks i believe if we can grab say 1 of those 3 plus carricker or merriweather i would do it in a haeartbeat we can use all the talent in round 1 that we can get.i am a culpepper surporter but we need to groom a young guy and troy smith is too special to pass up.

I would love to sit here and tell you how ridiculous of an idea taking Troy Smith at 9 is, and I'd love to dissect the rest of your post.

But I just can't read that.

Troy Smith wont react well once he realizes he isnt the highest paid player on the team anymore.

Seriously though Smith sucks....it's one thing to want him in the third round, but #9 is crazy

troy smith sucks. Hes not worth a first rounder. second rounder maybe. 3rd...i'll consider it.

Also, the broncos have no reaosn to trade up.

Troy Smith won't react well to being the highest paid player?:sidelol:

Smith should be at best a mid to late round pick... wouldn't be surprised if he signed with a team after the draft. I don't expect anyone to pick on the first day of the draft. Watching him in the Senior Bowl, he did not impress me much at all

Well, obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but imo, Im glad youre not the Fins GM. Smith at #9?? I like Okoye, could have swore he was listed at 6'2" 287 at the beginning of the game. Must have grew an inch a quarter.
As for Adam Carricker he appeared to have a nice game/week (from what I heard.) Too many games though where you dont hear much from him at all. Although, I saw Jay Moore quite a bit, and Stewart Bradley also seemed to be doing a few things. The 3 Cornhuskers seemed to have decent games without having to deal with Billy Callahans coaching/game plan....or lack there of. Hmm...

Drafting either Ginn or Smith with the #9 pick would be one of the worst picks ever.

Uhhh...

Are you trying to make our situation even worse?

Smith was 5 of 15 for 52 yards. He threw a bunch of balls short and was lucky not to be picked at least twice. If anything, I think his stock suffered today. Okoye looked pretty good and very quick off the ball. His current size would concern me as he seems like he's 30 pounds too light for an NFL tackle. He is young so it may not be an issue to put on weight. Ginn has a ton of speed but is far from a polished receiver. With WR a deep spot in the draft, unless Johnson falls (it wont) I would wait until the second and hope you can snag Meachem, Rice or Bowe in the 2nd.
