TRUTH: 2 YEARS AWAY

lol and water is wet. Nobody would have thought we would turn our season around so quickly this year. Nobody thought the bills would turn around their season as much as they did. The defence is championship calibre, ya get a stud WR who plays like it, an RB, another offensive lineman, and Tua takes a jump, you could find yourself there. KC showed some glaring weaknesses and they don't look nearly as formidable as they did a year ago.

I agree but water isn’t wet for the Tua haters and the crowd who wants us to draft an olineman at 3.

It's actually opinion. There are countless examples of NFL teams turning around quickly. Most every year we have teams who missed the playoffs one year make it the next. I have no idea if Miami will be a contender next season, but if the defense can sustain their level and the offense makes a jump, they could easily be a contender next season. Not saying they will or they won't, but saying that it is fact the can't is just ridiculous.

Agree. You cant just say 2 yrs away. My hope is with off season additions and better qb play we should be right in the mix.

We need “explosive playmakers” which is defined by players who score TDs, players who sack the QB and players who get INTs and fumbles

We need playmakers, that's clear. Green Bay didn't get a second WR for Aaron Rodgers--IMHO the best QB in this league--and they came up just a tad short. The Buccs have 4 Pro-Bowl or former All-Pro weapons for Brady (Mike Evans one of the best in the league, Godwin who is their highest rated WR, Antonio Brown a former candidate for NFL MVP, and Rob Gronkowski who is probably the best TE of all time and still dominant in both the pass and run game). Rodgers outplayed Brady ... but weapons matter. Yes, we need more weapons. I think that is crystal clear.

But the story of this offseason is just how valuable the QB position is in the NFL. The top pick in the draft is unquestioned going to be a QB, Trevor Lawrence. Then there are guys like one-year-wonder Zack Wilson, raw and inconsistent Justin Fields, and even the guy who is both of those things, Trey Lance; all of whom are potential top 10 guys. We just saw a college season where Mac Jones put up good numbers at star-studded Alabama, and now people are saying he might even be a fourth QB in the 1st round. The Rams gave up TWO 1st rounders and a 3rd rounder just to UPGRADE from the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft who in 4 seasons had 2 seasons over a 100 QB rating and led them to a Super Bowl. They traded for a guy (with a reasonable contract) who is 33, never won a playoff game, and has not led his team to success. But, Stafford is BETTER than Goff. Stafford has tremendous arm talent--better arm talent than Goff. Deshaun Watson will command three first rounders IF he is allowed to go. Everyone wants to go to San Fran (because they're stacked) and whomever lands there would mean Jimmy Garoppolo would be available and the QB carousel continues. The Bengals are very happy with Joe Burrow, but every team in the league wishes they had drafted Justin Herbert, because he has exceptional arm talent and good mobility with size, durability, and the ability to make all the throws. We do not yet know about Tua. But we do know he doesn't have that caliber of arm talent, and we will not be drafting this high again. One question we need to ask, is whether we should be using this pick to take a shot at a great QB, and realistically, what is the Dolphins' ceiling with Tua vs. with those other potential options.

we had a weak schedule. I think we played about what we should have. Losses to NE, Denver, and no heart vs Buffalo tells me we're an average team. To put up no fight vs buffalo with the playoffs on the line sucks. We're not close but are getting there. Hopefully Grier, gets us some difference makers in areas of need. I'm tired of him getting a pass.

Disagree. Defense is close. Offense needs work. Overall I’d say they are close.

2 years away? The Rams had 10 straight losing seasons before hiring Sean McVay who went to a SB his 2nd year with the team.

The Eagles went to and won a SB in Pederson's 2nd year with the team.
The Patriots went to and won a SB in Belichick 2nd year with the team.
The Falcons went to a SB in Dan Quinns 2nd year with the team.
The Dolphins went to a SB in Shula's 2nd year with the team.

I am confident we have a coach good enough to win a SB, we just need to start drafting elite players and not just good players and we will reach the promise land.

I'd be happy with 11-5 and make the play-offs via Wild card next year.
2022 Id just like to see consistency.

I agree on the explosive playmakers. It feels like the last 2 offseasons were about foundation and this year we’re in a prime position to add those home run hitters at key positions. I hope that’s how it all goes down.
