Tua expected to be the Dolphins starter in 2023

Why wouldn’t he be?

The kid has shown unreal growth compared to last season.

His health is a major major concern.

But what’s even more critical is finding a backup that's starter caliber type talent.

Would be stupid to move on, he’s only 24 and still cheap. Sign his 5th year deal and give him the next 2 years.
That's fine but if he shits the bed or misses a lot of games next season they better be looking to draft a QB in 2024 as his potential replacement. I like Caleb Williams in that draft. I would also be leery of giving him his 5th year option.

Exactly. The guy is talented & cheap. Definitely need a qualified backup, and when do we need to determine to sign him for his 5th year? If we can wait until the end of next year, that gives us another year to see if he can stay healthy.

Newsflash Tua cant stay healthy. See every year he has ever played football. If it isn’t one injury its another.
OK who do we think should replace him? Remember we traded away or forfeited a lot if our draft capital and are in cap hell with gaping holes at RT, ILB, CB, and RB.

Adam Schefter
Master of the bleeding obvious.

Waddle & Hill to be a Dolphin WR next year
I don't know how obvious this is. Coming off the concussions. Do they pay him the big option money? I assume he would come back, but I wouldn't be too hard on ole Schefty here.

They have to determine his 5th year option this offseason since next season will be his 4th year in the league.
