You might not think Tua is the answer at qb but he had to deal with the watson crap for over a year and handled it very well. Baker finds out that the browns had meeting with Watson for one day and all ready seems to be upset and unhappy with situation. I have to give tua even more credit for how he handled that crap for such a long time.

I'll bet the Browns get him tho since no criminal charges against were made.

This is true but its not like it was a known fact that the Dolphins were actively meeting with Watson, it was all just rumors. Browns actually met with Watson which would hurt more than just hear say which is what Tua went through.

Situations are a little different as well.

The writing was never on the wall for Tua/Watson, we just thought it might be.

With Baker, they've already decided to move on regardless of what Watson decides. They've broken the bond that you can't unbreak with a QB (unless you fire the coach).

I don't like Baker, personally, but tough to knock his letter to Cleveland fans.

Flores told tua that they were going after watson after last preseason game. Honestly I like Baker a lot but I don't think he needed to say anything. He could have just been quiet like tua was

It wasnā€™t fact outside of the organization but it was definitely made known to Tua. So, to further the difficultly, he couldnā€™t even speak out if he wanted to. He had to put on a happy face and play.

Browns have the best team and enough money to put a team around Watson.
The Saints and the Colts have better teams, imo. Both of them just need a top tier QB to be a legitimate playoff team and possible SB team.
The Colts havenā€™t shown any interest in trading for Watson and the Saints are still over the cap based on the latest cap figures. They will have to cut several players or restructure most of their high priced players to be able to fit Watson under the salary cap.

As much as I donā€™t want Watson because of his character issues. I hope he ends up going to an NFC team simply because the AFC is already loaded with top tier QB talent.

The money Baker is going to make on those commercials when heā€™s moving to Lucas Oil Stadium. $$$$$$$$$$$$

This is the first Iā€™ve ever heard of that. Was it reported that he told tua after the last preseason game or is it hearsay?

I didn't mind what Baker posted. Actually it was fair minded and ballsy on his part. The Colts will end up with either Mayfield or Matt Ryan depending upon where Watson goes.

This thread is kind of silly.

The reports I read is the team publicly and privately backs Bakerā€¦ but told him and his representatives if an ELITE qb were to become available they would go after him. The report I read even said he and his reps understood the reasoning.

Seems like theyā€™ve been forthcoming and his letter to fans seems genuine. Didnā€™t seem upset at all and didnā€™t knock the team.
