Tua is not that guy

Tua was never going to be "the guy", no matter how much spin was put out there its obvious to anyone who has played this game. Teammates know it, opponents know it, Flores (for all his faults saw it).

When a guy like Tua beats your team, you're frustrated because you just know deep in your bones that he shouldn't been able to do it without a superior supporting cast. He isn't going to be the guy like (Josh Allen) who just can put a team on his shoulders and make play after play.

People have talked crap about Kirk Cousins for years, tell me, what is really difference between them? When things are going well, they are decent to good QBs, however when things are bad, what generally happens?

All this for 50M....and the #5 over pick.
Put Tua on Pittsburgh and they are unstoppable. Put him in Denver they are a contender, put him in Detroit they don’t miss a beat.

Tua is always going to be accurate. It's kind of his thing, but I think the weather impacted him early on.

It's certainly not a sudden deficiency. I think the big air yard attack of previous seasons was all about anticipation and getting the ball out quickly. However, that's easily countered by defenses. This is just the new reality of the offense under Tua. It's just not very explosive. The 3rd quarter I think is a good example. GB was up bigi. They allowed Tua to scalpel short passes for completions. This looks good on the stats page. That passer rating and completion %. However, that's not what they needed down 27-3. They couldn't afford eating a whole quarter and score only one TD.
Miami is averaging 27 points per game since Tua has returned. I’m not sure where that ranks in the entire NFL over the last 6 games, but I know it’s more than KC, more than Texas, more than Pittsburgh, one less than Buffalo, more than Green Bay, and more than Minnesota to name a few.

If Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen was the QB of this team, do you honestly think this Miami team would be a team with an atrocious record against good teams? A team that has no ability to win in the cold? A team without a playoff win in 20+ years? 20+ years!!

You’re lying to yourself if you say yes. Tua is not the whole problem, but he’s not the solution. He works for this team in the right moment with the right settings. He’s not partulcalry clutch. He’s not a guy who makes unbelievable plays when the chips are down. He’s an above average QB in the right system.

Points against sub-par teams is not doing this franchise any favors. Without wins frankly who cares.

So all those other teams haven’t played games against sub par teams? Are you watching how KC has been winning games lately? I agree that without wins who cares, but that’s not my point. We are talking about one players individual performance, not the teams overall performance.

If Tyreek Hill caught 15 balls for 200 yards and 3 tds in a loss, fans could still acknowledge he had a great game but the team still lost due to other factors.

A lot of teams are throwing short passes this year due to defenses around league leaning on two deep coverages.

Tua yards per attempt in in 2024 is 7.6. That puts him 11th in the league right between Justin Herbert's 7.7 and Josh Allen's 7.5. Burrow is at 7.4 and Mahomes is at 7.0. Nobody is saying Mahomes, Allen or Herbert are dinking because of lack of arm strength. When they do it it's because they're smartly taking what the defense gives them.
You cannot use facts or logic here. What’s wrong with you?

Its almost like the whole team contributes to wins...

Try what again? We are talking about 2024. Hence my comment, "Tua LAST in the league right now " Tua is dead last right now in IAY/PA. You try again.
I said blame the right person. It's not Tua's fault all teams double high so he takes what's given. Quit that nonsense.

i'm sure he isn't at his best in frigid temperatures, but it's much more the team around him and the competition that is the problem.

if the oline plays well, and we are on the road against middle of the pack team, he would have no issues balling out.

if you run for 40 yards and don't pass protect well, you aren't winning very often against anyone decent anywhere.
Yep. We gained 35 yards rushing, gave up over 30 points, couldn’t score from the one and muffed a punt giving them a short field and an easy TD, set an NFL record for missed tackles, wasted TOs because we couldn’t get plays off in time and had TEN f-ing penalties. Literally none of this suck has anything to do with Tua. Anyone saying otherwise is just trolling or an ignoramus.
