I remember John Elway lining up behind the Guard his rookie year against San Diego - Tom Glassic said he was going to start drawing an arrow on his a** pointing Elway to the football.

I remember that. And a defender was pointing to him trying to help it out or so it appeared.

I was born in Maryland and was a big Baltimore Colts fan prior to the Dolphins coming to Miami. I remember watching a Colts game on black and white TV in the 1950’s. Johnny Unitas lines up behind the guard and as he put it hands on the guards butt to take the snap, the guard leap forward and turned around to see what Unitas was doing.

The ref’s threw the flag and the guard was called for being off sides. It’s still hilarious when I think about it over 60 years later.
