Tua

Organizing the few walls that may show up, compared to organizing the entire defense EVERY offensive snap.

Basing it on pay compared to their teammates is as fair and balanced as it gets...its completely objective and not subject to somebody's "durrrrr...what about goalies...durrrrrr" argument.

Value = $$$...its how the world works. A basketball player that gets paid way more than his peers is likely more important to the team, no?

I know about soccer...played it quite a bit through school, back when they actually taught team sports in PE. And within its own industry, goalies aren't valued over other players by a notable amount, no less compared to other sports.

Your argument is weak and unconvincing, sorry. Calling value-based facts dumb and lazy, doesn't prove anything, except to your own subjectivity. What objective measures and facts do you have to prove your side?
pay has no relevance.
and you wanna talk bout weak arguements, when you have no arguement period.
and the fact you wanna talk bout own subjectivity.. like does your house have mirrors? seems not, cause thats exactly what the comment qb is the most important position in any sport is.. complete subjectivity. its an arrogance statement.

to say its the hardest to play position is again exactly that, subjectivity. its all opinion, one that most of the sports world out side the usa wouldnt agree with.. and news flash, the world outside the usa is alot bigger.

and what facts do you have.. none. and yes using pay as a measurement is dumb and lazy.

You have played both sides, and not well, either. If you know he's been bad this year and yesterday why did you spend the whole afternoon yesterday defending his late throws, bad throws, inaccurate throws and throws that looked like punts like it was your job? Be happy to repost some of your inane comments but here's a summary:

"Achane should have come down with that, Waller blew an easy catch.....blah, blah, blah"

I never said Tua is the sole reason this team stinks. But he's been awful this season and is declining. To deny that is ridiculous and to blame others for his shitty play is just lame, and all your mental gymnastics can't change what most rational fans see with Tua.

You and bong boy should get together and have a nice little Tua support group session, talk about sensitive.

#1 is #1 forever!!!
Again, not blaming Tua for every ****ing thing does not equal defending every ****ing thing.

Let your family know your exhibiting signs of early dementia.

Arguing about what Tua was or was not, is pointless. The only thing that matters is what Tua is. I don't think it's much of a debate anymore. Whether it's because of his concussions or his hip, or both (my contention), the guy is deteriorating. I've said it before; the guy needs to take his money and what's left of his health and go enjoy his family.

Yet you have nothing of substance, objectively but "durrrr....goalies!!!....durrrrr"

Have a nice day.

In my opinion…the way the Oline and Dlines have played lately is very good compared to the beginning of the season. If this team just had an above average QB who could extend plays instead of the Sloth… oops…I mean Tua. This team could actually make a run. I would seriously give Wilson or Ewers a look at this point. Tua has completely lost any credibility as a competent QB.

oh, I can make numbers lie and I've seen more than my share of people who can do it far better than I could. Numbers are simply values, how those values are used and the data that is used to create and justify those numbers are the real truth.

In the case of football and Tua, its obvious, it was always obvious, from his metrics, to the system that was designed to cover his flaws that were clear from the moment he arrived in Miami (clear in Alabama too to be honest). Like Flores or hate him, but he saw it and reacted because it was his ass and he knew it.

McSmurf has built and offense that makes Tua appear viable, but he isn't, because a real DC with decent personnel can easily defeat it. Example take away the middle and flats and Tua will fail....always.

Don't try the number argument, too many people here have seen through it for years, and now even those who didn't want to understand it, now have come to understand it as well.
Well said! Honestly, I don't see how anyone can defend Tua or McDaniel and call them great.

Let’s wish this into reality

He’s not a polished press conferences, media, PR person for sure, but nobody deserves some of the comments I’ve read here.
Well, phuck Tua is kinda tame, honestly. Now, if you talk about his family or anything personal not football related, ya, that's lame.

again... mirror.. loook it up.
your whole arguement is, cause i said so.. yet you wanna talk bout substance.
I could get better arguements from a 6 year old.
Keepers aren’t even the best paid players in their own sport.

“And that is before you consider how much the world’s most expensive players earn. Nobody in the top 10 highest-paid players list plays a defensive or a goalkeeper’s position, according to Transfermarkt.”

Where are those posts saying that stuff? Or personal attacks from GB?? Report them if so. He has always been a nice poster on here when he visits.

A Packers fan is much different the a Jest fan appearing here just to grind our gears....
Whatever

Sorry if I hurt your or Packer fans' feelings with my questions.

It figures, though.

Where are those posts saying that stuff?
You're the moderator, do your job.

Or personal attacks from GB?
Not the point

Report them if so.
I don't "tattle" on folks. Do your job.

He has always been a nice poster on here when he visits.
I never accused him of not being nice. I questioned why he is here. I'm not expecting solace and kumbaya when I come here.

Now I get it. It's not the posts that bother you; it's the source. Thank you for clarifying why you chose to moderate me.

What are the realistic options for the future?
I'll not pretend to understand the cost cap, 'dead' money, or any of the financial aspects of football - so please use small words in any answer! :-) :)

It would seem that a trade is unlikely because of the money he's guaranteed but are there any ways he might be 'persuaded' to go with a smaller pay-off? Ways that don't include him waking up with the hood of his i8 in bed beside him!

What would happen if we bench him, label him QB2 for 2026, make him suit up every week but NEVER play him unless QB1 gets injured? Of course he'll still get paid but would the embarrassment factor be sufficient to make him walk with less money? Could we even label him as our emergency backup QB3?
