What are the realistic options for the future?
I'll not pretend to understand the cost cap, 'dead' money, or
any of the financial aspects of football - so please use small words in any answer!
It would seem that a trade is unlikely because of the money he's guaranteed but are there any ways he might be 'persuaded' to go with a smaller pay-off? Ways that
don't include him waking up with the hood of his i8 in bed beside him!
What would happen if we bench him, label him QB2 for 2026, make him suit up every week but NEVER play him unless QB1 gets injured? Of course he'll still get paid but would the embarrassment factor be sufficient to make him walk with less money? Could we even label him as our emergency backup QB3?
