Free Agency Breaking News- NFL - Breaking News Thread 2025 Offseason

This is nuts, the guy signed for 10M last year. He has one WR to throw to, man I really hate this for Seattle
I like it he’s a good qb who’s still learning and ascending, ridiculous talent, young

Is it safe to say, the Pats have firmly over taken the Dolphins as the 2nd best AFC East team?

All you complaining about Grier being silent right now are the same ones that would be mocking the Dolphins for overpaying guys and celebrating another off-season super bowl.

If you are a smart Fins fan we have to hope it is real ugly and the 2 bozos- Grier and weirdo McDaniel get fired so the franchise can rebuild for the future. Get a decent GM and a proven head coach that actually has brain. We have to hope for that.

Nice to see the team doing nothing
IMO, Grier needs to continue doing nothing. That losing 2024 team was the culmination of 3 years work by Grier and McDaniel, so if that's the team they built with all of their available resources, then that's the team they should keep for 2025. IOW, I want them to re-sign their 2024 players who aren't under contract to a cheap one-year deal and fill any holes with UDFAs after the draft. And, if they can't win a playoff game with the roster they spent 3 years building, then they deserve to be fired. And, the odds are greater that they'll have another losing season than actually making the playoffs and winning a playoff game.

As for the draft, I want Ross to have someone trade every 2025 pick for a 2026 pick. Grier and McDaniel did a terrible job of building the roster by not building from the inside out, preferring finesse and speed over toughness, and ignoring the fact that you "win in the trenches". If Ross has any sense, those two will be gone after 2025, so if I were him, I wouldn't want Grier wasting draft picks, signing more injury-prone players, or handing out any more huge undeserved extensions. Hopefully, the next GM and HC will be experienced and competent, so trading this year's picks for picks next year would go a long way in helping the next regime rebuild the roster, even though it will still take years to undo all of the bad that was done by Grier.

Yes, I realize that this could never happen, but a guy can dream, can't he? It sure would be nice if Grier isn't given the chance to put the team into an even deeper financial hole than he already has, and if the next regime was given a double number of draft picks to help rebuild.

No. Just like every year we get the "Dolphins are better than the Bills" cheerleaders.. until they do it. No.

Are you busy, career wise?

I think you should be appointed as the GM of the Dolphins immediatly.

The "blow it up" plan for 2025 is sound. Were going no where. Trade everything of value, have a firesale and tank. It's by far the most logical option. We've seen what this "rebuild" amounted too.

The same mediocre BS roster, we've had for 25 years.
