Two Dolphins Journeymen Get Their Chance To Prove They Belong

Nothing has been handed to defensive linemen Jonathan Woodard and Cameron Malveaux during their football careers. Not in college, and certainly not in the NFL, where so far each has established themselves as end of the roster talents.

So when you see them on the Dolphins defensive line on Sunday understand they deserve to be there, even if they are both viewed as injury replacements.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Miami is at that point on the defensive line one month into the season.

I hope that I'm wrong but Charles Harris is increasingly looking like a bust. Yes, he's a good wholesome boy and he talks about his love of the Lord in every interview, but #90 is now Aunt Jemimah after that pancake until he gets some actual sacks.

You'd think his lord would give him the ability to do his job. The coaches are like "WTF Aunt Jemimah! Tackle somebody, do something" and Jesus is like "nah Aunt Jemimah, here have some pancake".

That’s not a pancake block. He was trying to disengage and make a tackle and he was held. Should have been a holding call.
I was not a fan of the pick, but that play should not be used to support a narrative that he’s a bust

True on both counts. The side and back judges saw the grab on the back and thrown down after the play, and that is not a pancake block.

Oh boy...that is ridiculous. He got tossed like a rag doll. Is he really that weak that he can’t get off a TE block. He needs to really start hitting the weights my lord. He can’t let that guy get that close extend your arms keep him off you. Too weak another great 1st rounder. SMH pathetic
