Saban vs Belichick.

This is going to be one helluva game. Two old friends, now rivals in a division led by only one game. Saban, the underdog with everything to gain. Belichick, on the verge of a losing season.

You know they know eachother well. Nicks got Bill's number, and vice versa. So, knowing how Belichick works, (targetting a teams weakness) does Saban spend all his time on the secondary so as not to mess up as bad as we did against Vick? Or, Belichick knowing Saban knows him, will B.B try something different, like running the ball? And the vice versa with Saban?

This could turn into one huge headache, each coach trying to outwit the other. Ill tell you what, the third quarter is probably going to be the best part of this game with all of the halftime adjustments. This one should have been a monday nighter.

The way I see it. Saban wins the meaningful games. 1. opener 2. Return to his old college field 3. against Bellichick
You're right, should have been a monday nighter.

Oh hell yeah!

They know each other's coaching tendencies so don't be surprised if they go against the grain and come up with completely different styles just for sunday.

Or it could be the case where Saban was holding back a little in the previous games as to not expose the various wrinkles he came up with through the years.

I know, I know, he wanted to win every game, but what coach doesn't? But IMO Saban probably hoped for a decent 1st half record but showing too much too early would allow his buddy more time to counter.

Image our D showing all eleven on the line of scrimmage then dropping back into coverage with double corner blitzes with the safeties running back into zones. Or a 5 man D line, one LB, 5 DB alignment? Sounds crazy but you never know.

I know this, have your recorders ready this sunday because it just might be one of those great games!

I just hope Saban has Linehan fitted for his straight jacket and muzzle on Sunday. I will look for a Hannibal Lechter type of deal where he gets rolled out on one of those hand trucks.

I hope to see a lot of R&R on Sunday, too bad I have to watch F'ing golf instead of football! (damn ABC!). It should be an exciting game.
