Coming out of the draft i really liked Gillislee and think if given the opportunity can play a key role on the offense. He's was from what i remember in college a better than average pass protector.

Also i think we are going to have Jelani Jenkins matched up with Vreen IF we don't have a db on him the entire game. If they go with Jenkins I am hopeful his athleticism with match up well against Vreen because God knows our other linebackers are not keeping up with him.

for the record I'm not a Gators fan

Vereen is going to eat our linebackers alive unless we have something up our sleeves. I hope that something is Dion Jordan, because I think he can pull it off.

this has been a popular idea around here this week and i just dont see it. not that ellerbe/wheeler are that much better in coverage but i dont think they will try to cover vereen in man under with jordan.

Well if we can't beat a Gronkowski-less Patriots team on our home field when we are fighting for a playoff spot then we'll never beat them.

I like your idea re Jelani Jenkins on Vereen. He seems to have the athleticism to compete with Vereen, but I doubt whether they think that he is ready for that challenge. The player who actually has the speed to go one on one with Vereen is Nolan Carroll, but he is probably needed elsewhere.
I haven't seen enough of Mike Gillislee to share your enthusiasm. As others have noted, Daniel Thomas is a confidence player just coming off one of his best games in the NFL. I would feed him the ball early and rely on Miller's speed when the Patriot Defense is getting tired.

this game should tell a lot about where we are heading .it should speak volumes of the coaches and players we have.if we can pull this one off I think it will go a very very long way.it might just save some peoples jobs.if we get destroyed well things will go south for some people fast

The closer we get to Sunday the more nervous I get. I am so excited about this game because I think we should win. At the same time I have thought the Patsies should lose many times this year and they have pulled out the victory. I just hope our coaches and players show up.

LOL - You are getting more nervous and I'm actually increasingly confident that we will win. It's funny how we interpret things so differently..

If we unleash Gillislee, its all over for the Patriots.

I think you use Jordan on Vereen and spy Brady with Odrick, they have about the same wheels. :d-day:

Hopefully if all goes well, Gillislee and Jenkins enjoy watching also.
