ok so as the title implies I have two questions:

1) there three teams in the top ten that are in the top running for snagging suh in the draft- detroit at 4, kansas at 6, and tennessee at 9. Ive gone through and between some teams having greater needs, or management that targets sexier picks, or have teams that run the 4-3 with fair dl already. these are the 3 that i see with the highest potential to grab the bigguy. would you make the move to up the draft board to get him? right now we are # 17 in ranking so we would have to move atleast 9 at most 13. If it me and hes still there @5 I might be talking to the redskins and seeing about moving trading 1rst, giving third, sending ricky, and will allen. or something similar to that.

2) If we dont sign ronnie, do any of you guys see us grabbing a rb from tampa, the player can stay in state, and are reasonably priced. they have three fair rbs. ward, williams, grahm (sp)?

how about......no ****ing way.....

Tampa will grab Suh in the top 3....either way suh is not a NT and we have probably the best 3-4 DE rotation in the league.

None of Tampas Rb's are worth a damn....

This is going to end up being moved to the draft forum, but...

1) I HIGHLY doubt we will move up to draft Suh. He is amazing, but there are severl very good 1st round quality NT prospects this year.

We also have high priority on Linebackers, WRs, and maybe even a RB. If anything, I see us trading down as much as we can to stockpile picks.

2)If we don't sign ronnie, that means we are drafting a RB, or picking one up via FA. Not sure what Tampa wants to do with them, I'd imagine one will be the odd man out, probably Graham as he hasnt seen the field much this year.

I thought about tampa, but tampa runs a 4-3 and still have hovac and a few complementary players. they need lbs and dbs, maybe a young wr. in their place id move down to say 7-10 and take a lb then use the extra picks on dbs and other 4-3 lineman of which there are several this year. And did you see the way suh threw people around and owned double teams this year??? he is a freak and will make a beastly nt..

and Suh is a 4-3 DT and Tampas run D is and pass rush both suck.

IMO, we should stockpile draft picks. This draft is loaded with talent, I don't think we need to move up to grab a good player.

no way man, the way suh ate up linemen this year he will be right at home in a 3-4... did you see his last game? he was a monster...

tring to use Suh as a NT is a massive waste of talent....Suh is looking like the next warren sapp...

a 3-4 NT has to take on the double teams and not give ground in the running game....how many sacks does Wilfolk rack up each year....

He is definately a 4-3 DT.

Thats what I'm telling you, did you see the double teams he took this year? I've watched a few games of his and he did what he did while being doubled all game long. very few times did he get doubled and lose ground... I understand the difference between a nt ant a dt, and im telling you he can run both, like a champ. sapp couldve dominated a 3-4 if that was the system he was in, it just wasnt what tampa ran. you tube suh, watch his power and ability to to move multiple people. he can be a force in the nt world. Now if your argument is that youd rather wait and pick up some of the other talents that are out there this year I'd take that, but to say suh couldnt be a boss 3-4 i wont give that to ya...

ok.....maybe this is lost on you....the best NT in the league has 7.5 career sacks....Suh at NT would be an absolute waste....

I'm not saying he can't do it, it is just a waste of his talents as well as what it would cost to get him.

There is a reason the DT next to Suh has over 10 sacks. It's because he demands on the attention...a DT that good makes the rest of the line better. As a NT it would just be his job as opposed to being a difference maker.

What happened to Sapp when he went to Oakland? They switched him to the 1 technique which is comparable to the NT in the 3-4. His production went down and it was obvious. He played the 3 technique when he was in Tampa.
