So, if we DO get it, we play in New England the last game of the season to get there. We probably get there as the "Tail End Charlie" wild card and we have to play the division champ that plays wild card weekend. Which will probably be New England. Folks, if we make it, we gotta play them two weekends in a row, in New England. To advance, we gotta beat them two weekends in a row, in New England.

And we will have won 6 in a row...and I can guarandamntee you that the Pats will not want to face us in the first round!!!!

When we make the WC, We will have to play DENVER... This is based on the fact that INDY and CINCY will get the first round byes... It is always the 3rd seed against the last... The 4th seed against the 5th...

If we miraculously make the playoffs. We won`t face NE in WC game, It would most probably be Cincy or Denver. why? because NE will get as the fourth seed and we would be the 6th, so we get to play the third, which would be Cincinnati or Denver.

Don't the top two division winners get Byes?

So the Pats, who will be at best, 10 & 6 will have a better record than the other two division winners? Maybe I'm getting senile.

nah, the bengals will probably get the #2 spot

And that's the truth...

I say that's the way it goes down. Hey, we're dreamin' here....

NOT!!! INDY is 13-0, The BENGALS are 10-3, the BRONCOS are 10-3... For the PATS to do better, both the BENGALS and the BRONCOS will have to lose out!!!:sidelol:

Not going to happen!!!

Unconfuse me....

Don't two out of the three division winners get byes in each conference? Then doesn't the Division Winner that plays on wild card weekend get to play the worst record wild card? If I'm not totally out of it (a real posibility) that would mean your other two division winners don't even play on week one of the playoffs and New England does.

Thread cleaned. Let's stay on the topic.

Wow, you are a little behind the times......there are 4 divisions in each conference (since 2001 I believe). So the top 2 division winners still get byes...but there are 2 division winners who play in the WC round and host the wild card teams. CIN/DEN would be the #3 seed and host the #6 seed (MIAMI!!) while NE would get the #4 seed and host the #5 seed.

Ok, there are four divisions in each conference. Dang it's hard to keep up. Yeah, vision of Weekends In New England are less likely now. Oh well.....

In Prakk's defense, we have not made the playoffs since the division reallignment and rule change so if you only follow your team I guess it is possible no to know this because nothing involving the rule change has really been relevent to Miami.
