I wonder if Ben and Hines Ward will play. If not, I'm thinking we are already 1-0. But let me just say this. Guys, if we do end up losing, let's please not have any rant threads. I know we are all excited but remember, it's one game and the first game in this system for many. No throwing people under the bus until at least a quarter of the way through the season.

This will be a very tough yet good game for us. Looking forward to it.:dolphins:

I have a good feeling about this one.. Remember about 4 years ago when our first game was in Tennessee. The Titans were loaded with Kearse, McNair and George after a terrific season and many previews had them favorites to win the super bowl that season..

Well, we went into Tennessee and destroyed that team physically and on the scoreboard. We dominated them .. Same with last year vs the Broncos in the season opener.. No one gave Miami a chance and we killed em..

Same will happen September 7th in Pitt.. This will be Miami's coming out party for the Culpepper and Ronnie Brown era..

I was so pumped after that game. The best part of that game was when Zach Thomas ran the interception back for a TD and did a flip into the end zone.

But like you said, opening days have been good for this orginazation. Prior to the loss at home vs. Houston in 2003 ,:shakeno: , we had won 11 straight opening day wins. Then that loss and the 2004 loss to Tennessee was followed by a win against Denver. I think the 11 game streak is back under way! I love winning on opening day, it's such a boost. Especially against on of the top teams.

I really believe Pittsburgh is overrated and we will take me down. They were 11-5 last season and had a couple lucky breaks in the playoffs. They are definitely beatable. They have weaknesses on that team, and I believe we have the coach to exploit those weaknesses. Saban knows the importance of beating the SB champs on opening day, he knows what that will do for the psychological aspects of this team. He will have the boys prepared beyond belief to beat em

I couldn't agree more. Every one flames me when I say Pittsburgh is overrated, but they really are. They lost Randel El, Bettis and Chris Hope. That offense doesn't have too many weapons. I have them missing the post season all together this year. Would you agree with that?

Wait til we show the rest of the league who to fear!!!...I hope:dolphins:

Aquaforever that's true.. They have a guy named Staley who is fat , lost Bettis who was their leader in the running game. Their QB will be going up the top defensive line for sacks last season so he wont have time, their secondary is not all that (didn't they have one of their d-backs break a thumb yesterday ?)

The Steelers to me look like a team that spent too much time drinking and partying after their super bowl win

The Steelers got very lucky with having a healthy team at the right time last season.. I am certain they would have lost to the bengals if they didn't break Palmer's knee to start that playoff game. The Bengals clearly outplayed Pittsburgh in the two regular season games last year and were outplaying them until they went for Palmer's knee's.

This season, Miami has alot more weapons than Pittsburgh. IMO the steelers will be easy to defend

just like bill simmons said last season about saban: If you give Nick Saban a year to gameplan for a game, i'll take his team, no matter what: whether he's coaching a high school team, LSU, or the Dolphins!!!

Master,

Depsite all of the off the field troubles for the Bengals, I still think they take the division with quite a bit of ease. They are the team to beat in that division IMO and I agree with the partying after the Super Bowl remark. They didn't go out and get any one to make themselves better. I don't see them winning more than 10 games.

Who was the defensive back that got hurt? Usually DBs can play with broker fingers but if it was Palumalu, that's huge!
