It was just on ESPN. He said there are 8 teams interested in him. He wants fair market value. He said by the start of training camp he will be ready. He is working out 6 days a week with his long time therapist. Just passing the news along.

thanks for the info, i was watching sportscenter and i saw it was coming up but i didnt get a chance to watch it.....should be very interesting to see who he ends up with

He is working out pretty hard from what was taped during the interview. He also stated that he may have started the interview process to soon, because he wasn't able to do a lot of things like he can now. The foot that had two screws put in it, was taped at the ankle as well. He stated that he has to gain more confidence in know that the injured foot will hold up.

thats good to know, i still think we should only offer him a one year deal, it would be very nice to have him on our team

I am usually the eternal optomist, but we should really stop worrying about Ty Law. He will end up somewhere being grossly overpaid by a team that gets a CB hurt. He has already said that if we couldnt afford Surtain how can we afford him. I also want to see what Daniels can do, its time to get some youth infused into the defense. Adding Law would be nice but it may inhibit the process of Daniels, and that would seem to be bad long term.

Screw Law.

People that say we shouldn't have gotten Boston from injury have no right talking about Law. Law's injury is harder to come back from.

If he takes a minimal contract I would take him with incentives.

I will not deny when healthy he is arguably the best, but not worth the risk paying big money to him.

Seriously....F&#@ Ty Law. Who does he think he is? All these football fans reply with his past play, etc. Big deal, what has the man done in the last year or so besides get hurt and complain about the Patriots (then kiss butt when things looked grim elsewhere for awhile). Yes, Ty Law use to be a great corner..however, he's gotten older and other things have occured (one being the Pats winning a SB without him and with a patchwork secondary).

Ty Law is not a top 5 corner anymore, probably not even a top 10 anymore. Ty Law is using long past performance to try and show what he's worth. Ty Law needs to realize HE DOESN'T have any hand in this situation. He needs to take his best offer from the team he likes best, and STFU and prove himself again.

Anyone remember what happened to Cortez Kennedy, Russell Maryland, and Ricky Watters when they pulled this type of crap? They disappeared...never getting to finish their career playing and with an official retirement. I can only hope the same happens for Ty if he keeps his ig mouth and ego running.

He's too old to asking for a "break the bank" kind of deal. That's the kind of deal you look for after your initial rookie contract is up and you are a FA (usually when a player is 25-28 yrs old). Law has had his chance and he has made good money over the years. He probably could have made more had he not stuck with the Pats for so long. But, he got his SB rings. You always have to give up something and he gave up the opportnity to make exceptional money in order to play for a SB champ.
He's still a good player, but he has lost a step and no team is going to pay him the kind of money he's looking for so they can get him for 80-90% of what he used to be.
The Pats had him for the peak of his career.

you have a point in the money part, hes too stubburn and ****y but he is working hard and deserves about 75% of the money hes asking for, if hes willing to go down to the we should deffinetley get him, we need a cb and he can start for us

We have no chance of getting Ty Law. And if by some strange chance we do, I will be extremely surprised. TO be honest I don't want him. Two reasons: he is all about Ty Law and (as dumb as this may sound) he is an ex-Patriot. I hate the Pats so much, that I really don't want an ex-Patsy on the team.

He is already using Surtains contract with the Chiefs as a barometer and he feels he is worth more than PS. If we were going to acquiesce to Law's cntract demands, we would have been better off keeping Surtain.
