Putting on a show in this Alamo Bowl against UCLA. If it wasn't for him I would have shut this game off 30 minutes ago.

We need red zone receivers. Tall, long arms, big hands, leaping ability.

Lockett = Hilton

You dont want that?

screw that, I dont care what anyone says, that kid is flat out talented and a special teamer. He would be like Landry and contribute immediately. blood lines.

Big WR's can tend to be overvalued.

If Mel Gordon is there at 14, you take him. You could trade down in second and pick up another pick like Hickey did last year and start up your defensive picks. Its deep.

In an era where the rules heavily favor the passing game, Miami would be absolutely stupid to not want to upgrade at wide receiver. The Dolphins current group is decent, but look no farther than the playoffs to see the riches of talent most of the teams still in contention have at wide receiver.

I agree the Dolphins need that big, redzone player who can win the one on one battles. The team has no one like that on the roster. If Lockett is there in R3, I think he'd have to be considered.

This is so true.

Quality route running and good hands are more important.

Even if guys like Brady, Rogers, or manning have tall Big WRs, which for the most part they don't, you'll never see them reach for the ball. It's the irratic qbs who lack accuracy that NEED big WRs, guys like Dalton, newton, stafford.

I think tannehill is better than that, give him quality Technical WRs he will be just fine.

Now a TE on the other hand who can rip up the seam consistently, now that we could use.

Brady has Gronk (6'6"), Rodgers has Jordy Nelson (6'3") and Manning has D. Thomas (6'3") and every single one of those guys make acrobatic catches. Everyone one of them make adjustments to poorly thrown footballs you just don't hear about the poor throw because their respective QBs are all proven QBs and announcers and media refuse to be critical of them. Not to say that Rodgers and Manning aren't accurate because they are extremely accurate but Brady isn't as accurate as people give him credit for. But when you see highlights of Gronk making an amazing catch...it's because Brady didn't throw an accurate pass, he just put it in Gronks catch radius and trusted Gronk to make the play. When you see Jordy Nelson and the back shoulder catches he makes, or the leaping grabs in the end zone it's because Rodgers is putting it in his catch radius and trusts Jordy to make the play...same with D. Thomas who often leaps over defenders on deep throws where Manning can't get it out to his receiver far enough...not to mention all three of these guys break tackles with regularity.

Of the three Nelson is my favorite because he's so fluid and runs great routes.

We have no shot at Amari Cooper who has the speed, the route running and the large catch radius I would love to have on this team but I think we have a good shot at DeVante Parker who is a better route runner than Kevin White, has the large catch radius and decent speed to get deep.

Lockett is a football player. He would be a good return man and a GREAT 4th receiver. Could be used in slot and slide Landry to Hartlie's spot or Lockett outside. We do need a big RZ threat and that should be addressed first. Where is Lockett slated to be drafted?

Wonder how many teams said that about Antonio Brown in the 2010 draft.

Well if Tyler Lockett is there in the 6th round like Antonio Brown was I think we should take him...but seeing as how Brown was a 6th round pick I would say a lot of teams said that about him.

He is around 90 on alot of lists. But as time goes on, he will move up.

Senior Bowl, combine, and great highlights on bowl night. The kid dominated and was the key factor in his team making a comeback.

He killed on ST coverage as well as punt return. His double move was spectacular.

If Hickey follows a similar recipe as last year he will go more for this type of value being able to trade down in 2nd round and taking a kid who will cause many GM's hands to hit their heads.

More likely to me if we were to somehow get a Mel Gordon. Otherwise the Big WR's are definitely in the picture. But the Philbin factor is still around.
