Has there been any talk about using Thigpen in the wildcat? Because I heard that the chiefs were actually trying him out at WR before we picked him up. It might be interesting to see that happen.

He is a Tim Teabow type QB and I think I heard it's one of the reasons they picked him up. He is the only QB to pass rush and receive for a td in one game. I would love to see him get some action in the wildcat.

I consider him to be our 2nd QB. He can run our entire offense a lot better IMO then Pat White can.
But it is true that he can be a true "Wildcat" QB. And he could line up in a WR slot and come back to throw the ball.
So on one hand, I think he is better to play in the Wildcat but is also the better overall backup. Since our Wildcat is being run well as a almost pure running formation, I think we will save Thigpen from injury in case he is needed to be the starter.

Not according to Sparano. He said White has been progressing very well. I do like the Thigpen pick up.

i would have agreed until i saw that Tony Sparano said that Pat White is ready to play and they would be comfortable with him at qb
Thigpen is a good pickup for us. If Henne were to go down, God forbid, I just can't see White coming in for regular QB duties. I have much more confidence in Thigpen seeing as he actually started, what, 11 games last year and played pretty well against us. He is an atheletic Qb, not as much as White, but has much better size.
I see him being a real alternative for us at Qb, conventional or wildcat.

nope, he is the 3rd QB on the depth chart by NFL rules we cant play him. Pat White is here for a reason and his time is coming, we prob unleash him on the Patriots again that would be great. humiliated them last season with the wildcat debut, now meet the Pat White coming out party
Thigpen looked really good in the spread last season. I'd like to see how they can implement him.

Don't take this the wrong way but that is not the way it goes.
The 3rd QB can come in at anytime during the game but the other QBs can't come in until the 4th Qtr.
Thigpen is here for one main reason, to be the backup in case Henne gets hurt. He's not an added wildcat option or to take the job away from Henne. He'll be listed as #3 so they can have him on the field just in case of injury, but no plans on using him otherwise. That's why White is listed as #2, so he can run a few wildcat plays for us when we need him to. If Henne goes down Thigpen will be his replacement moving forward, not White. Nothing against White, he's just not ready to be a FT NFL QB right now.
