gets the best player in basketball to sign...

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/news/story?id=2529652

Ben Howland was so ecstatic that, according to Kevin Love, the UCLA coach was near tears.

as a reward Howland will pull in 10 mil in base salary over the next seven years.

and to top it off they lose their best player for the next couple months...

tis a pity Love chose UCLA over Carolina, but I can symphathise. There he will be the star the minute he steps onto campus, here he would have to pray Hansbrough and Wright go pro. But UCLA got the best player in the nation, and one that will probably stick around for a while.

This is great news

To bad Farmar went pro, but Collison is a good player too.

UCLA needed a Big Man in the worst way

Nice signing...but he is not as good as Greg Oden who is heading to Ohio State.

Oden has been invited to participate on the 2008 USA Olympic Basketball team. He has been widely compared to retired NBA star center David Robinson. He will room with Jamar Butler, when he plays at Ohio State University next year.
