*****UDFA Signings*****

Oladipo could be really good for us. He’s aggressive and can hit. It would be nice to have an enforcer in our backfield, post Ramsey.
He's my favorite UDFA. He plays like a whirling dervish whose hair is on fire. So fun to watch. You see a mix of Bob Sanders, Polamalu, and Mathieu traits with him.

I’m optimistic about this season. I think we have added some young foundational pieces. Even if we struggle, I will enjoy watching them grow and develop, but if we stay healthy, I believe we make the playoffs and then let’s see. It would be so rewarding to take another step or steps.

2025 will determine:

1. Can Tua stay healthy and lead? Or, in the event of injury (god forbid), will Wilson or Ewers step up and shine.

2. Will McD evolve enough? He showed small improvements last season, but has a long way to go.

3. Will our OL/DLimprove with the additions of Jonah, Grant /Phillips?
4. Backfield. Who steps up if/when we deal Ramsey?
5. Will we deal Hill post June 1st? I’m not worried about the slot WR production, but I’m hoping UDFA Armstrong can flourish on the outside and as an end zone threat.

So many interesting things to watch!

It's amazing for the amount of players who sneak through the cracks every year.

Saunders will be fun to watch throughout traing camp, along with Trader.
I think Trader might be a guy that surprises everyone. I really like what I’ve seen in his videos.

Based on salary , Wease probably has the edge over Armstrong, who has been talked about more here. That $250,000 shows Miami likes him.

Hill, Waddle, Westbrook-Ikine and Malik Washington are locks. There are likely two spots open at wide receiver and that will be an interesting battle to watch. The Baylor kid has 4.32 speed so he could have a chance. Washington, from USC, was in the mix last year.

Saunders got a lot of money for an UDFA as well. Conyers has a great shot, as does Robinson.

I think 4-6 are possible, which is a lot.
I thought Wease got 230k. I watched a video of that Patel dude and another one whose name I did not know, along with that Dante Collinelli or something like that. They were talking about the UDFAs. One of them said that Armstrong got a 300k guaranteed signing bonus. I've not heard that anywhere else.

I wouldn't be surprised if both Wease and Amstrong made the 53. Although they are similar.

Wease looks a little quicker and breaks a lot of tackles (better yac guy). I think Armstrong is the better 50/50 winner, but that opinion is just based on their highlights.

Can't find anything on Armstrong's signing bonus, but that would't surprise me either.

I don't see them as all that similar. Watching Armstrong, I think DeVante Parker. With Theo Wease, he looks like a larger version of Malik to me.

From Pouparts last mailbag, question was were there any standouts from the UDFA in minicamp:

The one player who stood out was rookie free agent WR Theo Wease Jr. for how he went up and high-pointed the ball on two 7-on-7 passes.

I’ve now watched both wease and Armstrong

It’s Armstrong by a mile imo.

I like the Parker comp for Armstrong.
Armstrong's size and build, along with the way he moves, always reminds me of former Jet wr Al Toon. Not saying his play on the field will match Toon's, but that is who he reminds me of.

Neither wease nor Armstrong have the speed the league covets, but Armstrong knows how to play the position with leverage, footwork, hand fighting, awareness and excellent hands.

And he’s 6’4 and can get off press with hi level moves.

He should be on the 53
