Chuck won't fight till November but probably December and it will be vs Wanderli Silva

Serra-Hughes won't fight till November. And the November PPV will be at either the Meadowlands but probably the new building THE ROCK in Jersey.

UFC is pissed at GSP. They feel he is soft and not a warrior. Don't expect him to get any big $$$$ matches anytime soon.

Zuffa is thinking of closing down PRIDE. They see nothing in it. No market for it. Not a matter of if but when at this point.

They should just sell it and make some money.

Thanks for the other news

Nobody wants it. Plus UFC wants the video library to produce DVD's and make money there

The contracts and the library/name, are the only reasons they bought it to begin with...I never thought they were going to keep it around as a promotion...

if that is the case and they are shutting down PRIDE, then why is Hendo vs Rampage supposedly not going to be a title unification bout?

I think they will still run a few shows, try and milk it for all its worth...The first show back, and the final show ever will be big money draws...Plus they could still market one or two big UFC vs. Pride shows and get huge draws...I see pride running about 6-8 more shows then the doors will be closed for good...

Has anything been confirmed with Silva? I just read the other day he was taking the year off.

Serra-Hughes will also be the next two TUF coaches. I guess they won't fight at the Finale?

Pride pretty much has been shutdown since the sale. However, I just read that the Rampage/Henderson fight will be a non-title match and one of the reasons is because they weren't sure about unifying belts yet.

.

yea,
pretty much same questions... and wered you get the info.....

i still think gsp is the man.... hes only lost a couple matches....man if this is true... ufc really doesnt have any loyalty to its fighters, damn.

Serra/Hughes is too big of a grudge match now to be given away for free at TUF finale. it will draw money on ppv.

See I disagree, They've only fought once and its not on the level of Penn vs. Pulver IMO.

i see what you are saying. Pulver and Penn was a bigger fight in that it was a rematch and considering both fighters have name recognition and impressive resume's. Matt Serra is still building his, even though he is the champion.

but Penn has been soundly beaten recently by Hughes, and Pulver is nearing the end of his career, and i think the fight happened about 3 years too late. that and Pulver's loss to Lauzon, who in turn got soundly beaten in TUF semi finals sort of took the shine off of the fight for me.

Hughes has had the one decisive loss to GSP recently, and Serra's skills and training are apparently peaking at this point, which makes this fight more appealing to me. plus the fact it is a title fight makes it important for obvious reasons.

but that may or may not translate over to alot of other UFC fans however.

nobody would've given Serra a chance prior to shocking GSP obviously, but now the question is, has Matt Hughes got what it takes to get the title back from him?

i just find it more a intriguing fight with all that has happened in the division recently. i could be wrong though and it not draw many ppv buys.

they will need to stack the card with some other important fights though for it to compare to the UFC ppv's coming up in the next few months.
