Well here we are the day after.....
and i have to say we played a tremendous game...our O-line was smashing people around and owning the colts D....Ronnie and Ricky were pounding the rock and Penny YES PENNY was making calm collected throws to keep drives alive. He had a few overthrows but he was going downfield i can respect that.
The one to Ginn in the back of the endzone was catachable YES....BUUUUT was it catchable for a touchdown meaning could he had dragged his feet for the TD while running at full speed sorry the answer is NO....and as for that one late he had a guy draped on him he just couldnt make the play.....you blame him for that BUT REALIZE if Ginn drops any ONE of his big third down catches we lose bigger Ginn help keep alot of drive alive last night.
Again the O-line was awesome...Long spent time on his back but Freeny never got to Penny he did once but that was a busted play and freeny had 10+ second to get to him. But if the O-line plays like that we will be juuuust fine.
Ronnie and Ricky ran like they stole something and the Colts were the police we may have found an identity with this line.
PENNY PLAYED GREAT...you may say he couldnt stretch the field at the end but HORRIBLE CLOCK MANAGEMENT BY THE COACHING STAFF......and partly on the players....but he made great thrown and go positive yardage he sailed some of his longer passes but i think he was throwing them to hard o something but if he can pass like that off our running game again we will be fine.
BUT HERE IS MY GRIPE.....it was the same as in my post im tired of seeing rookie qb's do well and we sit back......we lack aggression we lack a killer instinct in playcalling......3rd and 6 ties game LATE and we run a draw....i know were we in field goal range but we were like 12/14 on 3rd downs and they were exhausted even if we get five yards we are looking at a POLITE situation to get the first and atleast we milk the clock down..
THIS LACK OF AGGRESSION HAS TO GO....seriously we play not to lose and guess what happens when you do that YOU LOSE....UGH if frustrating we finally looked like we were willing to take some chances and we ***** OUT at the last second...
WE PLAYED GREAT...we lost and are now 0-2 much like last year we have had a close game and a game we were dominated......let see if this coaching staff has the BALLS and the brains to get us on the winning track once again
