yea I saw the broncos game (even though it was before I blew my cash on a damn projector) and I wasnt in town for the Panthers game... I guess its all about bad luck this year :)
normally it wouldnt bother me as much.. but what did me in was two things..
First of all the SD image looks HORRIBLE.. its obvious that they are needing to allocate more BW to the broadcasted HD games so when we are forced to watch SD sunday ticket games the picture is like little colored blobs running around on a green background.
Second... a few weeks ago DTV had the balls to call me and ask if I wanted to pay for the HD package at a discount. You HAVE to be kidding me right? they were offering 8 weeks of games for something like $70. I asked her if she could tell me what games would be in HD... her answer was "NO" I said to her "Now you have my answer" *click*
For those that are interested.. I did find a small loophole in DTV's online programming thing to order packages. If you already have the Sunday ticket and want to get the HD games for FREE.. go online and select the programming package.. there is a HD package that is listed a ZERO dollars. and theres no fine print about committing to next season or anything.. I think they just messed up. So in anycase.. I am getting the HD channels for FREE but it doesnt help when the network BLOWS and only has 3 HD crews.
Last year the HD games from Sunday Ticket were free... They maybe showed 8 games a week and a few times it was the Fins... Now, you have to pay an extra $100 dollars to get the HD games with the "super-fan" package? I just can't justify the cost...
ahhhhh, so that explains it. I was watching the 1pm Jax/Colts game and the picture was just outstanding on my plasma flat screen. Then came the Fins game and the picture just didn't look nearly as nice as the Jax game. You see, I didn't know that the game had to be specifically broadcast in HD. Hmmmm...duhh. At least I now know.
While I feel for ya, (if you paid for HD you should get everygame), try being a college student and struggling to find a place to watch the fins everyweek
