Literally one of the worst articles I have ever read on the Fins. Not surprised it's from Bleacher Report.

Just an excerpt:

They closed 2013 with two winnable games against the Jets and theBuffalo Bills, needing just one victory to be in the playoff mix. They helplessly capitulated, getting outscored 39-7. Now, they're poised for a case of deja vu. A repeat of this week's performance wouldn't top theVikings in Week 16; the Week 17 rematch against the Jets isn't a gimme, either.Any AFC team is going to need at least 10 wins to make the postseason, and there's no way this soft, scatterbrained Dolphins squad takes three games out of those four.
They haven't been mathematically eliminated, but they're physically out of contention.

This was an ugly game, but I don't get this narrative.

The Bengals just survived the equally inept Bucs. Are these articles coming out for them?

The Steelers lost to these same Jets. Are these articles coming out for them?

The Patriots nearly lost to these Jets as well.

The team needs to improve, but bottom line a win is a win and the Dolphins are still in the lead for the 6 seed

The guy that wrote that BR article sounds like he might be a FH member. Need to look into that...

You have to understand...many were waiting for a game like this to pounce on the phins and do so with completely ignoring the fact that most teams tend to struggle with weaker competition from time to time...

Well, we played bad but won. We were close with GB,Detroit and Denver but lost those. Every game is different

Skape makes the point. The Steelers lost to this same team, yes the win was ugly but it was a win.

I don't like the fact that we suddenly can't stop the run. We were pretty stout earlier in the year but now cannot stop it. But you have to wonder what this author would have written after our win vs the Chargers? Maybe we were the best team in the AFC after that game. He is right we may falter but looking at NFL football from week to week is foolish, even though we al tend to do it at times, it's the big picture that matters.

With that being said we need to stop Baltimore's ground game and get after their secondary with more than dinking and dunking to win this week. Their CB's are terrible and as soon as Rivers got the ball last week down by 6 I knew SD had it in the bag. We can't not take advantage of this.

Meh....

What do people expect.

Win a close game against a crap team and people will panic.

Yet we lose a close one against the elite teams (Broncos, Packers) and people say you are right on the verge of greatness.

Personally, I don't care how bad a team is, division games are always tough.

Defense sucked against the run early in the year too. We just haven't been facing a lot of run heavy teams since early in the year. We've faced QBs that are known for slinging it around the field, Rivers, Cutler, Stafford, Rodgers. Broncos coaches just exposed something that other coaches we played either didn't want to or didn't try to.

Also this article reeks of being written by a person that just looked at the stats at the end of the game. It talks about how they were putting 7 or 8 in the box and not stopping them. That's the opposite of true. Once that happened, the Jets weren't doing jack offensively.

KC lost to the Raiders 2 weeks ago. So they are not a playoff team either.

Most Dolphins/Jets games are close games, regardless of what each team's record is.
