i think this draft gets a b overall talent wise but about a d- getting positions we need wise. here are the positions we didnt draft that we needed:WR, QB, C, maybe a guard was needed and safety. i still have confidence in saban but was just a little bit disapointed but maybe he has something up his sleeve like a trade or something.
 
I think we might sign Charles Lee now for WR competition. I will be ok this season with Feeley and Frerotte battling it out at QB. As for the Offensive Line, I hope Houck can work his magic.

I'm not OK with a wash-out like Frerotte. What makes you think he'll make everything OK? HE SUCKS!!!!!!

i think the kid we got from lsu in the 4th round is gonna play fs. Daniels....
 
You've got to be kidding. We had an incredible draft. The only pick that even came close to being picked at the round he was supposed to was Alabi. We still got him lower than he should of gone. No reaches WHATSOEVER...
 
We only had 6 picks so we can draft every position.We drafted an o-lineman and we got 2 in free agency also.I think one of them can compete with Seth at center.Keep on mind that we still have the june cuts and now that Pat's gone we'll have some money to spend on one or 2 guys.

WR- Heck we got CC, Booker, Thompson, Gillmore, Welker and the sleeper Kendall Newson. We might even bring Boston back.

D was a much bigger need. OL has been addressed with Alabi, Cook and McDougal. I also bet Saban sign Ben Wilkerson-C-LSU as a UFA. He will be our starting C in 2007. Would have been a first day talent if not for his injury this year.
 
not to mention without roth or crowder we would have to live with smurfs at linebacker

We have two above-average WR, we have two quarterbacks that can be adequete, we have a ton of offensive lineman that need to sort themselfs out, and we drafted someone who can play safety if the two FA's we brought in can't. This draft was fine, your being ridiculous.
 
When you look at depth, age, and recent injuries, we have needs at bascially every position. With only 6 picks, you can't fill them all.

In several of the scouting reports, it says that Alabi's trap blocking skills may make him a better G than T, so maybe G was addressed.

As for safety, I think that was addressed too. We have Jones at SS, so FS is what we need. A FS doesn't have to be as big, needs to be able to cover some people, and needs ball-hawking instincts. Daniels has experience at S, and may fit there. If he's good enough to play CB, it could mean that Mario Edwards (200 lbs) slides into the safety competition, along with Bell (200 lbs) and Taveras (190 lbs).
 
not reaching for players isnt something to have a part about. i mean ok good but u cant call it a good draft cause we didnt reach. i rather reach and get some players at positions we NEED, then not reaching and drafting a d-lineman when we have way too many good ones to draft one. we drafted two d-linean when that was our strongest position coming out of freeagency. they were wasted picks. the players are good butwe dont need them. you could talk about well need them for the future but we needed to pick spots that dont have anyone to start at them thats worth starting.

And only 2 of those guys are legitimate threats. If CC or Booker got hurt, our WR corps suddenly looks terrible. This is a position that will have to be addressed in free agency over the next couple of months.
