At a time when a Marino's distinusighed and fabled career should be celebrated, many sports writers are taking the opportunity to bash and debate his value based on not winning a Super Bowl.

I think this is in bad taste.

oh please. It's a debate on who is the best QB of all time. HAPPENS EVERYTIME A QB GOES INTO THE HALL OF FAME. Not everyone will have Dan #1 on the top of their list.

It's not a sign of disrespect.

I think that the problem is that to many of the talking heads were players at the same time as Marino and didn't get over watching him absolutely shred theire secondarys.
Wasn't Boomer the jets Q.B. for the fake spike game?

Boomer is an idiot anyway.... anything he says, you can almost be sure that the opposite is true. I can't stand how he touts himself as a top 10 QB, when he was average at best.

because it cannot be dabated if Young is the best qb ever. Not even Kelly but it can be agrued that Dan is the best ever. If anything, it's a compliment.

The arguments in teh media are opinionated debates, mean nothing. Danny's legacy is what it is, he is the best pure passer the game has ever seen. His place in history is safe.

It's stupid.

What I can't understand is I was watching NFL Network yesterday and had a piece called "Gone!" Barry Sanders story" or something to the sort. It said "THE GREATEST RUNNING BACK OF ALL TIME", but..wait..how is this possible? He didn't win a ring

Just remeber, opinions are like a--holes, everyone has one...
