I put up a game thread last week with some good results. So, I thought I would try it again, and hope for the same.

I expect our starters to play around a half, and it has nothing to do with being a good or bad team. From a year ago, almost half our starters are going to be new, and they need some real game time experience to click. Tannehill has had next to no time so far with his best receivers, and I'm not sure that we have had our five potential starters on the OL together ever at practice.

Should be the best we've seen to try to evaluate better on what we have. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is gonna be able to watch?

Stop with the 'unofficial' thread thing, you appear to be the only one upset about it and its petty really...

But on topic, hopefully Watt doesn't kill anyone, Wallace catches a bomb, and Tyms/Matthews have good games

Here's our current roster for anyone who needs it.

I'll watch it at Ale House tonight in Jax.

This is a first for me, but I'll actually be watching the o-line and how they protect Tanny. I don't care about the Wallace connection, how Lamar runs, or the defense. I'm beginning to think the season does not rest on Tanny, like so many say, but on the o-lines ability to ALLOW HIM to throw.

Last week was just having some fun, not being upset at all. This week is being superstitious. :)

I want to see the Fins win the battle at the line of scrimmage offensively and defensively. The Texans are very good in both areas..this game will be real telling if our big guys have made any improvement since last year. Our oline has to give RT time and block for a running game.
I also want to see..
Llamar Miller get 15 carries for 60+ yards against this defense
RT to Wallace / Hartline
Simms catch a couple of balls
Vernon creating pressure
Jones and Grimes with deflections and picks
Sturgis make all his kicks
Our LB's playing at the LOS, and stopping the TE in the seam

I'll be watching the same. I believe that with a healthy Jerry, we will be around average at worst, with Martin having some ups and downs. I'll also be watching TE and RB blocking, which also does make a difference for Tanny.

I am just happy someone started a thread to discuss the game 2nite.

The trenches are gonna be some fun to watch in this game. I'm looking forward to seeing how Vernon, Odrick, Shelby, and Martin play vs a VG team, and a few blitz packages.

Yeah, Philbin recently said he wants Tanny to make quicker decisions and improve accuracy. Both of those have to do with Tanny not feeling like he's about to be murdered by the defenses he plays against.
I would also love to see Will Davis get a pick to improve his confidence leading up to our first game.

I hope Simms plays so well, that we can then end the Egnew experience.

I'd like to see Mike Wallace get a chance to make something happen tonight.

I think we will have the worst quarter of fball with Corp playing in the 4th. Tonight is about how well our one's compete with the Texans. Should be interesting.

No better test of Martin than JJ Watt, quite frankly this should be a good judgement test of the whole O line as their D line is quite ferocious

FWIW, Philbin or Sherman said that Egnew's blocking is much improved. That should be worth a look, as well as Clay as a TE and H-back. I would like to see us save a roster spot with no FB, with Gray maybe filling in some.
