Now, i know that at this point of the offseason its very frustrating. There's a sever lack of information going on in the league and even less from our team in general. The fact that espn(idiotic peasants) continuesly kicks the dead horse refered to as the Parcells story only points that out. Despite this, i log onto these forums for the most part daily and keep seeing the same threads be reposted.
So instead of posting under the same threads over and over again i wanted to just ask questions here.

1) Why does everyone despise our wide outs? Why is everyone so ready to burn yet another first round pick into one during this year's draft?
I'll grant that no one is terrified of our receivers, yet they are consistent(save for Ginn, who you can see improving). Greg Cam was having himself a nice little year intill that injury and i have faith he will return healthy and justify that contract he signed. Yes, having a big strong wideout would be nice, and it would also be nice if all the teams we are facing next year forfeit against us. Not every team has the Larry Fitz's or Calvin Johnsons.

2) Why are people hanging onto hope for Jason Allen?
When you cannot beat out Andre Goodman at corner or Renaldo Hill at free safety, you best be shown the door. He's been here for 3 coaches and hasnt done enough to warrent a starting position from any of them. Mistakes happen, move on.

3) Which leads me to my next point: Andre Goodman.
Ill be the first to admit Goodman played his *** off for us at the end. You could almost see when the light click on and he made plays. I ate alot of crow from my friends because of him, as at the beginning of the season i would screw "damnit andre!" and at the end was praising him. But thats just it, at the beginning of the season he was beyond awful. From constantly out of position to just getting burned it was painful to watch. I dont know which of those 2 players Andre Goodman truely is, and would refuse to pay much to find out.

4) I like Akin Ayodele and Charlie Anderson.
This is probably going to be the one i get screamed at for. Akin was solid in my opinion and from his play does not warrant immediate replacement, especially since we have so many other holes on defense. Charlie, along with Patrick Cobbs, got it done on special teams and at times seemed to be a playmaker out there. Now, did we overpay for that? Probably, but i have no resentment for that.

5) Why is there so still so much resentment against Ronnie Brown?
Im offended that after spending so much money on the offensive line, it seemed to just collapse and our running backs/Qb had to do something creative to recover the play. Ronnie almost always falls forward for the extra yard, he makes plays when we need him to, and more importantly he just plain makes people miss him.

6) John Beck....really?
I understand the pleading for Beck. Really, i do: He's a good person, he showed alot of promise, and as Dolphin fans we are disgusted at how many draft picks weve recently spent on Qb's(especially 2nd round picks). But the fact of the matter is, as good as he seems in practice, he seems to choke during games. I see a qb with alot of potential, but no confidence. You can overcome lack of potiential, you cannot overcome lack of confidence. Chad Henne seems very promising, and i do not understand the displeasure against him, the anger at a player that could suceed. Personally, i stopped caring who we have at QB as long as we start winning. I wish John the best, but i do not hold anger at Henne for doing a better job.

I'd perfer answers to those questions, but ill settle for flames.

I think you make a lot of good level headed points. I agree with all of them (save maybe the cutting of J. Allen) However, I am not going to answer your questions because this opinions have been expressed hundreds of times across the boards. Go throughout the boards and read peoples' responses that you respect. Skip over the just "because he sucks" answers. A lot of people take time to respond logically and you could probably see well formed opinions both ways. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, some are more logical then others.
Asking the questions again, but all in one post almost seems like trolling.

It's not just the Fitz's and the CJ's....it's the Andre Johnson's, Lee Evans', Randy Moss', Wes Welker's, etc....

Why shouldn't Miami draft a WR in the 1st round if he's the best player?

Should they just keep chasing around WR's that they blew draft picks on years ago by passing them up? (Boldin, Hines Ward, Reggie Wayne, etc.)

1.) I like the wide outs, and agree they show promise. No knock on what Pennington did this year at all, and I want him to start next year, but until a strong armed QB is under center Ginn will no hit full potential. He needs the chance to have a QB hit him in stride on a deep one not slow up for it. A big body, like London, if progress is a perfect compliment to a speed WR (Ginn) and a shifty one (Bess). He also will help out a QB like Penny. A big body WR is a must in the NFL, especially in the Red Zone. I am hoping for Kenny Britt in the 2nd. Also keep and eye on 6'6 WR, Ramsies Barden in the later rounds.

2.) Jason Allen not going to be what Saban thought he be... enough said. Safety is a need in the draft, just not a work out warrior. Haven't seen much from the Kid from Central Michigan, he could be good, but its Central Michigan

3.) We can only hope the better Goodman shows up next season. But a younger CB high in the draft, or Leigh Bodden will be great for the team.

4.)Akin Ayodele played well as the 2nd MLB, and in a 3-4 defense thats great. But his Man to Man coverage skills are suspect at times and can not be the every down MLB needed in the passing downs. Charlie Anderson, showed promise, I agree, but he had many Speacial Team penaltys that hur the team. He could come around and fight Wake and Roth for a position. But if those are the best 3 OLB opposite Porter thats not saying much.

5.) Ronnie Brown plays excellent, he is a big help, but I feel they need to go back to the pounding of the rock. The Wild Cat is great and I enjoy it, and it is good for some downs to keep the Defense guessing but I feel it will be less of a staple next year. I hope the O-Line can block better and the Fins can run more traditional plays. I'd like to see Ronnie get 1,100 + this season.

6.) I was at the Draft when the Fins picked Beck, and passed over Quinn, and I was heated. On top of everything else he is a great character and deserves a shot but he was a 27 year old Rookie!!!! He will be 29 next year! Did he come with a walker?

Hope those help

Thats what i was trying to skip: trolling. Day in and day out i see various people posting the same threads. Knowing full well the futility of it, i still tried to make it more constructive to have it all under 1 thread instead of 4 a day. Opinions are great and welcome, its the entire idea behind having this thread, i just perfer not kicking the same dead horse day after day, thats all i was trying to accomplish.

1) Some of us do like the WR core but I do not blame people for wanting to improve the group with a go to #1. The way people want to get that #1 WR is debateable so there's lots of posts on that.

2) So do you want to cut him for the sake of cutting him? Why not hope for the best from him, afterall Harrison was cut 4 times. He's a really good athlete that some people hope the light comes on for him.

3) Goodman was decent and if a low contract is signed then why kick him to the curb, his age and Allens means we must draft some more youth but it's a position that needs time to adjust to the speed of the NFL so keeping players you know and can count on is important.

4) Akin is decent and Anderson did nothing to warrent his contract, I have no problem with people wanting to upgrade the ILB and SOLB positions and Akin can come in off the bench. We need players like Akin that can come in and make some plays here and there but settling for him as a starter will keep our defense from being elite.

5) i don't see any resentment towards Ronnie, I see varying opinions on the RB position. Some feel he's a good back and others argue he's elite, again this is a forum of opinions which spark debate. So I really don't get why you question that, I think Ronnie's a great back when healthy but a strong believer in not giving a 2nd major contract to a postion that expires quicker then any other. I get alot of heat over that but that's my opinion and have fun defending it.

6) I agree about Beck but again some people feel it's a position that players need lots of time before they can step in and everyone has to admit that it couldn't have been a worse time to throw him in with an average line and no RB's and terrible WR play. I believe QB's either got it or they don't, so again another reason to debate, defend and attack for the sake of fun.

This is a forum for debate and whether you agree or not in whats written you have the right to not participate in the threads you find tiresome and invalueable. You have placed your opinions here and will find some people agreeing and others wondering what planet your from.

The bottom line is there's one million ways to build a team and since none of us do this for a living our opinions will be all over the place. None of us are right but none of us are wrong either that's why there's always room for debate. I know for myself I've changed my opinion about some things because of some insightful opinions from others on this site.

lete me interject here . the real reason miami hasnt and probally wont reach a superbowl is three reasons.

#1 Ted Ginn for all practical purposes is overrated and rarely changes the outcome of a game so i cant see any of our wrs as being pro bowl wrs and until we get a wr that is a stud we will continue to struggle in the passing game.

#2 nobody here liked welker, chambers , Randy Moss , or any wr that was out there but Chambers will get a super bowl ring before te Ginn or this corp of wrs will. the truth is our wr is average but i will give them another year before I totally give up on them. our defense wasnt what cost us a majority of our loses it was our oline and wr combine.

#3 we could win it all if we get some pass rush and get better at cb, oline and wr and we are not that bad of a team but my point is our best players never get brought up in a conversation nation wide and that is why we havent won a superbowl since the George Jefferson administration. ( i mean Thomas Jefferson administratio.

1) I agree that ole Ted Ginn may not be anything more than a 3rd wideout. yeah he has made strides. But when other receirs are coming in and doing more or just as much. then we need to find a guy or two who can spread the field. And i don't buy into this crap that Henne will be Ginn's savior. Just because henne might have a strong arm he still has to have the smarts and game to use it. And i don't see Henne playing anything meaningful until Pennington either gets hurt or retires.

2) People here are kidding themselves if they think that Welker wasn't liked when he was here. Same thing goes for CHambers . And just for reference we never had Moss. Although we missed drafting him.

3) Personally I would rather see improvements on O_line before defense. And receivers before anything else. I look for parcells to work some more magic this year in draft and in free agency.

With a stronger offense the defense won't have to work as hard to keep leads. And this team needs to score more points to win next year with our schedule.

No flames

1-nobody is dissing our wideouts but most can see thier overall limitations
and the scope of what they can become. We only had 5 td receptions from our Wr's, we need a guy that can takeover and make plays on his own.

2-I have no clue why anyone keeps thinking Allen is this stud in waiting. He may actually improve but it is not good to not start in our rather average secondary.

3- I toatlly agree. Goodman over his career has been less than average and to overpay for his services would be a mistake. He has been very good at times and horrible at others. He has been barely a starter here and people annoint him.

4-Neither Akin or Anderson are great but they are servicable. Anderson was dissapointing in that he lost his job to Roth. I personally am not a fan of Anderson he is the most replaceable player we have. As for Akin I would like to upgrade his spot but he is not a major weakness.

5-truly I see or have no resentment for Brown. Its basically the arguement of good versus elite. Some want to base thier arguement on could have beens and some base thier arguement on what has actually been done on the field. Color me in the good camp although I am often told that I hate Brown just because I refuse to aanoint a 1 time 1000 yard rusher as great.

6- Beck, no player has been as beloved for doing so little. There are definately some mad people on this board because Beck has not been the player they predicted. Now we are getting into conspiracy theories why they were wrong. Slowly but surely that camp is getting smaller.
