I nominate Randy Starks as an "Unsung Hero!!!" The guy batted down a ball to end their first drive and then intercepted the ball when it looked like they were going in for a TD. If they had scored, the game could have turned out very differently. His play was huge in turning the game around.

He has also played well in the previous two games, even better than Langford IMO...and Langford has been playing great for a rookie!!! Keep an eye on Starks...he adds great depth with NO DROP-OFF when he comes in for Langford.

He seems to work most in a 4-man line with Anderson, Starks, Merling and Porter.

This brings up another point...has anyone noticed all the variations in the D-line personnel packages???

imo, our defensive mvp so far, that int was a thing of beauty from start to finish, even the shimmy shake at the end.

He does have to work on making the tacklers miss!!! :beer1:

I nominate Justin Smiley. He doesn`t get much attention with Long in the line, but he really caught my eye sunday. I think he really was amazing. He reminded me of Alan Faneca, he would cross the field and block perfectly, creating the hole for Ronnie when we lined up Wildcat formation.
