I know its early, but I was watching the news here in K.C and had a
little injury info to pass on.
It appears the Chiefs got pretty banged-up playing the Rams.
Seven players were injured, the most notable ones are:
Brian Waters- One of the Chiefs best O-lineman ,carted off the field (knee)
Derrick Johnson- The Chiefs best LB- Did not return to the game (ankle)
Tamba Hali- DE, hip pointer
Greg Wesley- Safety ( shoulder)
I don't want anyone to think that I am glad that ANY player has
an injury. I'm just passing on info...

I just want to see Crowder, Bell and Thomas smack Larry Johnson in the face. I hate him with a passion. I want him to feel the pain every time he gets up, and i hope miami holds him under 100 yards if they do miami will win.

Look for Ronnie Brown to have another big day. Kansas City can't tackle and Greg Wesley has made a name for himself by being run over by Miami running backs. (Ronnie's 65 yard run last year and Ricky Williams in 2002.) I'm sure you can youtube that Ricky run.

This is a big game for us. If we can rip off this win we have a serious shot at getting through November without a loss. How big would that be to be 5-6 after Thanksgiving? Spirits would be up again in Miami and I seriously expect nothing less.

Waters and Johnson being out would be very big. Hali will probably play with just a hip pointer.

The biggest injury news is that I believe Trent Green has been targeting Miami as his first game back from concussion.

IMO, that will be big for us. He seemed less than accepting of the new offense during training camp and preseason, he was having a bad game against Cincy before getting knocked out, and now that the offense has established a rhythm with Damon Huard, they will be putting Green back in his first action since the bad concussion.

I bet Green will be rusty...and rather ineffective.

Only problem is I don't expect Joey to be very effective either. We may see the backup QB in this game. If not for all the Chicago turnovers I firmly believe we would have seen Cleo play today.

If Waters is out that will be huge...will help us make sure we can keep their ground game under wraps. We're the 2nd best rush D in the league I truly believe that. We can prove it by shutting down the Chiefs offense and forcing Green to make rusty mistakes.

And I'm sure Ronnie Brown will be happy to see Greg Wesley again :)

I hope you are right......
The difference between Ronnie and Larry Johnson is that Larry runs behind
a better O-line.

Patrick Surtain. For some reason, last year he looked really energetic when he played against us last year. He will be playing with a chip on his shoulder, though our entire team has a huge chip on their shoulder at the moment.

Hi CK, good to hear from ya.
Trent green WILL NOT, I REPEAT , WILL NOT PLAY AGAINST MIAMI.
The doctors said it would be at least two more weeks before they clear him..

Actually the difference between the two is that Larry is not nearly as gifted a physical specimen nor as gifted a pass catcher, but Ronnie does not regularly display the kind of vision and patience that Larry displays on a semi-regular basis.

Ronnie displayed that vision and patience in the 2nd half against the Bears. There was a visible difference in his running style as he got a better feel for the game.

CK I think you're absolutely right. This game is certainly winnable.

Oh yeah and as for Greg Wesley, he knows what the truck stick is all about in Madden because Ronnie introduced it to him last year and flew down the sideline. That was the best run of Ronnie's career thus far.

P.S. Do you remember in 2002 when Ricky ran over Wesley? It used to be on youtube but the NFL removed it. I hate their copyright rules.

LJ is awesome and incredibly gifted running back. We can contain him this upcoming week especially if brian waters doesn't play but we also need to respect LJ to the fullest! This guy is a beast.

Larry Johnson is a very good back but he's not as physically gifted as Ronnie Brown. Not quite. Overall he's a better back than Ronnie...right now.

Hey CK - I hope you are right about Cleo maybe playing next week. I can honestly say after todays game that Joey is NOT a starting QB in the NFL. I already knew it a while back, but I kept having hope otherwise because he was in the Dolphins now. I'd honestly love to see what Cleo has got, because I see alot of talent in that kid. One thing that really impressed me was his confidence on the field, and he has that soft touch on passes like Daunte has (Joey lacks this SEVERELY)! I hope it's not just NFL heresay on pregame shows that Cleo might get a shot to play.

I still say it's equally important to stop Tony Gonzales.
Exactly. Our secondary still has alot of room for improving and that's where Tony was in todays game, getting the TDs! Dolphins will give our home crowd a big win against the Kansas City ******s... oops I mean Chiefs! :dolphins:
