Updated Mock

I just don't understand why they would have P.Willis falling so far to the Eagles at #26? Am I missing something...:confused2

Was he not just named the South Defensive most valuable player for the 2007 Senior Bowl as well...

I've been noticing that too. Patrick Willis has been falling to end of the first round in most mock sites. Something must've happened....I guess. He looked prettty good at the Senior Bowl on special teams and at the Mike position.

But I would be VERY happy if Gaines Adams was our pick AT #9.

Can't just assume that he can grasp a role in our defense. One thing about Okoye, nobody questions his smarts. He could probably start as a rookie. Adams playing time would come down the road.

any thoughts on our pic, the entire mock?

Happy if he falls to us.

Lets wait until after the Combine before we start paying that much attention to these mocks...the writers are just throwing stuff out there for readers to react, like we are doing.

I think we learned from last year's draft that, after the first 5 picks or so (the so called "blue chippers"), anything is possible.

My vote is to go offense in the 1st rd...either WR (Jarrett is my preference) or QB (only if Russell or Quinn are available). If not, go for a CB.

I would have no problems drafting (in any order) Dline, WR, OT, CB at 9. If we trade down, I'm good with whatever our selection would be, as long as it's the BPA.

Gaines Adams would be my number 3 player on the board for miami in the draft behind only CJ and Joe Thomas.

He is the best defensive player in this draft easily and would be an absolute steal at number 9. With him we would have the best pair of OLB in the NFL (JT and Adams). This kid is a monster, as much as some of you liked Manny Lawson last year he is just as much an athletic freak.

does Matt Roth, Manny Wright, Fred Evans, Rod Wright.....ring a bell??

all young guys who...perhaps in 2-3 years could be our Front 4 starters

Is Manny potty trained yet ?

You are counting on a kid that cries when yelled at, another one who spent the entire season on IR, and another one who played in only 1 game (last game agains the Colts)

Yes, it rings a bell...and it tells me that if in 2 years this is best we can do, then our defense will be in trouble.
