FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 10, 2006) -- Prosecutors dropped domestic violence charges against former Miami Dolphins lineman Damion McIntosh because there is not enough evidence to show he committed a crime.

Hopefully all these beating up of the wives and distractions will end soon. Seems like every other month a Dolphin player is getting angry with his wife. *Cough *Cough McMichael

So anyway. Just thought I'd bring it up.

Yea, by now that welt on his wife's head that knocked her unconscious when her threw her across the room has gone down

I wonder how much they had to pay to get these charges dropped. The guys wife was laid out on the floor when the cops came, what more proof do you need?

He was very co-operative in everything he did.

He still should not have done that. BUT We all make mistakes.

Let he who has no sin cast the first stone...

That is disturbing your attitude, hdjetta6316. we all make mistakes, yes, but we dont beat our wives/girlfriends unconcious. Your attitude toward an abused women is atrcious.

it looks like D mac has perfected the Mcmicheal "beitch" slap. What a real man. too bad he couldn't do that with defensive ends......

C'mon, seriously, don't we ALL know she probably deserved it? I know us married guys do! Yap, yap, yap, yap yap yap yap! Just kidding.......... kind of..........

Unfortunately, D-Mac will get labeled as a wife-beater because he pushed her away when she tried to take a bite out of him. Of course, no one else here would have done that...

she was pushed to the floor and knocked unconcious how the hell can you make excuses for that? Absolutely sickening. :shakeno:

It sounds to me like DM's old lady made it quite clear she would not be a cooperative witness. If today wasn't a court date, I'd imagine this means she laywered up, too. That's usually what makes these cases go away. Prosecutors tend not to drop them unless it is clear they have no other option because they know how problematic domestic violence is and how bad it would be if the next incident results in the death of one of the parties.

Under the supervision of a local prosecutor, I have actually handled a couple of domestic violence cases. I've seen more than that. There is always the chance that they go sideways on you and you lose them. It didn't happen to me because I was lucky enough to get witnesses who were cooperative. If you get into the case and the witness won't answer your direct questions about what happens, there just isn't much you can do. It's one of the more frustrating things about being a prosecutor from what I saw.

ETA: I'll add that there could be very good reason why she would not be cooperative. DM is to be presumed innocent by our justice system until proven guilty. It could be that there is a perfectly rational explanation for all of this and that DM and his woman will live out a life of peace and tranquility. I wish that on them.

Obviously i'm a Wife beater....

I slapped her twice just cause you replied to my post.

COME ON!!!!!

D-mac is innnocent until proven guilty.

Accidents happen, and mistakes are made.

In no way do i condone this sort of activity. I have never raised my hand to any of my GF's...

BUT! It is the wifes decision to decide whether or not to press charges. She decided not to. End of case. End of discussion.

Actually, that's not the case. I don't know of anywhere that would support that policy in this day and age. This was a breach of the state's peace, which makes the state a victim here as well.
