so the big thing in the offseason at first was how much production we lost and the percentage from players last year that we no longer have after the wr flush
lost players
wallace 67 catches 862 yards 10 tds 10 20+ plays 48 first 2 fumble 251 yac (added his 1 FD rush and 1 FBL rush)
hartline 39 catches 474 yards 2 tds 4 20+ plays 27 firsts 1 fumble 139 yac
gibson 29 catches 295 yards 1 td 1 20+ play 15 first 2 fumble 104 yac
clay 58 catches 605 yds 3 tds 9 20+ plays 31 first 258 yac

so the 3 wr's we purged and the te we couldnt afford to bring back relatively speaking were accountable for

193 catches 2236 yards 16 tds 24 20+ yard plays 121 first downs, 5 fumbles 752 YACS

now we are replacing that production with
stills 63 catches 932 yards 3 tds 10 20+ plays 47 1st 1 fumble 178 yac
jennings 59 catches 742 yards 6 td 9 20+ plays 40 firsts 1 fumble 195 yac
cameron 24 catches 424 yards 2 tds 8 20+ 13 first 159 YAC

so the new production

146 catches 2098 yards 11 tds 27 20+ yard plays 100 first downs 2 fumbles 532 yacs

so its pretty simple whoever the 4th man the dolphins use to replace the 4th (we'll say gibson) whether rookie or matthews needs
47 catches 238 yards 5 tds (more 20+ plays) 21 first downs, 220 yacs

camerons stats our hopefully only bad because of the concussion injury and the qb scene in cleveland last year, but i dont want to be a complete homer, maybe stills were higher cause he has one of the greatest throwing to him.

if we had a 4th player to add into the mix from the offseason, i think the numbers would be similiar if not in the current regimes favor.

more big plays over YAC though

Cameron will end up with 55 - 65 catches at least IMO...so long as he's not injured. He'll take Clay's roll in the offense...probably more seam type routes too.
I'm not sure we'll get that same production from Stills though. He'll be asked to run shorter routes and more underneath type stuff, plus he was the 4th option in New Orleans before Cooks got hurt so defenses never really keyed on him.

It should all say relatively the same for the 3 new guys combined. If Landry can get to 10 ypc or better then we should be ahead of the game with whatever addition we make in the draft at WR I think...maybe.

One more factor to look at, money!!!!

Miami paid the top group a **** load of it and the second group is much more reasonable.

Mike Wallace is a cancer that needed to go. While I will never deny his playmaking ability, his character was detrimental to this team, and it was evident. His inability to become cohesive with Tannehill hindered their chemistry on the field. Greg Jennings in my mind will be the polar opposite of that type of attitude. For those reasons...
Jennings > Wallace

Jordan Cameron prior to his concussions was one of the best tight ends in the league, if he can return to form, I would rather have him over Clay.

And anyone who can stay on their feet is better than Hartline at this point.
