The defense looks good overall

The secondary seemed more solid than expected

The offense was held in check until Champ Bailey got injured so we have work to do there against solid defensive teams

There was good play calls and spreading the ball around

Gus had a bad interception but did not make any crazy decisions overall.

We got off to a good start and got a win. The team knows they can win right from the start of the season, which is huge for a team coming off 4-12.

I think the injury to Bailey and the Miami heat in conjunction with teams not being in peak "football" shape yet tired the Bronco Defense and was huge.

Still, I have to upgrade my season ending prediction by at least one win, even though there is a lot to prove on offense.

Is there anyone who would not upgrade their season ending prediction by one win?

This was my prediction from may: Still optomistic LOL

W at Jets (2-0)

L vs Carolina (2-1)

Bye

W at Buffalo (3-1)

W at TampaBay (4-1)

W vs Kansas City (5-1)

W at New Orleans (6-1)

W vs Atlanta (7-1)

W vs New England (8-1)

W at Cleveland (9-1)

W at Oakland (10-1)

W vs Buffalo (11-1)

L at San Diego (11-2)

W vs Jets (12-2)

W vs Tennessee (13-2)

L at New England (13-3)

YEAH OPTOMISTIC BUT POSSIBLE

Wow 13-3? That is optimistic! I figured we would be good for about 6-8 wins this year. I stand by that.

Regardless of the Jets, we played better than I expected. And the Jets played worse. Chad does not want to face Jason Taylor right now I am sure.

If we can get 8 wins, I'll be estatic.. Hell, with 8 wins, we could go into the playoffs if we were in the NFC..

The Real Test Will Come Next Week At The Meadowlands. I Feel Pretty Confident The D Will Hold The Jets Under 14 Points And The Offense Will Produce Enough To Get The Win. Hope Ronni Has A Bit More Of An Impact In This Game. We Will Need It To To Pull Out A Win. Lets Go Dolphins. Can't Wait To See What Linehan Pulls Out Next Week

:yeahthat: Without 3 loses.

Suddenly..As I look at the schedule again..I can see more wins than my original 8-8 prediction. I see 10 or 11 wins.

It was a great start...
However, let's see how we do against the pissed off Jets in the Meadowlands before we get too ****y... ;)

Totally agree. If the Dolphins get a win in this game, then people can start talking.

Beating a playoff team, at home, in the heat, is great. However, its no reason to start claiming we are one of the best teams out there. If we beat the jets, then people can start talking, because thats two playoff teams from last year we'd have beat. One at home and one away.

At that point we'll be facing a over hyped NFC team, Carolina, at home, which will be an easier game than the Jets and Denver games.

my predictions in BOLD.
you may win the final gave vs the pats. but it depends if they need the win or not. i dont think brady will give you a game like last season, but they may be resting their starters for the playoffs.

EDIT: IF the fins beat the jets next week, i may change a few games. i also want to see how carolina does next week.

I have to admit they surprised the heck out of me but, one game isn't enough to change my mind just yet. Alot of reasons could have aided in this win besides the ones already mentioned losing Baily. Maybe Denver just simply took Miami for granted then again maybe not. Simply there isn't enough data to support them doing any better than 6-7 wins. Alot of emotion going on out there yesterday let's hope it keeps up. Before everyone bashes me, I'm not saying they can't finish with 10-11 wins. Just that 1 game is just that 1 game. If after 3-4 games we are still seeing this then we can talk possible playoffs.

not enough data....thats a good one. To me, we are going to be winners because of one major thing. Nick Saban. Nick is currently studying the Jets game to death and implementing his strategy with his forty assistants as we speak.

All I'm saying is that I've had my bubble broken many times by this team and the Flyers. I'm not saying their not going to beat the Jet's just not jumping on the 13-3 bandwagon just yet. Let's see what happens. Hey I hope their 16-0. I'm not against you just taking it one game at a time.
