The best news of the game was seeing Claudio Reyna return to the field. He hasn't played since October, but he came on in the 61st minute and got a standing ovation. It is really good to see him back. This team is a lot better than the one that went to the Confed Cup, and we should be able to at least get to the semifinal of the Gold Cup, a title that is currently OURS! Paraguay isn't a great team, but they aren't bad at all, and this was a good win for the USA.
Also, Columbus is a great place for our national team to play soccer because we always get a pro-American crowd there. Only 14K showed up for this one, but it was a really hot day and they were really supportive. US fans are usually pretty loud because they blow those annoying horns, but they are good because it makes it feel like there are more people than there really are. I hope the USA plays some qualifiers in Columbus, we did last time, and one of those games was a Feburary game against Mexico, which the USA won in the cold weather.
