With starting quarterback Joey Harrington nursing a sprained ankle, it'd be nice to have Daunte Culpepper available in case of emergency.

However, that seems highly unlikely, according to Dolphins coach Nick Saban, who almost closed the door on Culpepper's injury-plagued season.

Saban said Harrington would be re-evaluated Wednesday.

Saban seems to be holding out hope that Culpepper could be available before the season ends, even thought only three games remain.

"I always have hope," Saban said. "We would make that assessment on what's in front of us, not some speculation because we would see him practice and see what he needs to do to be able to play."

Notes and Quotes

WR Marty Booker had eight catches, giving him 51 this season. Along with Wes Welker (59) and Chris Chambers (55), it's the first time in franchise history that three wide receivers have had 50 or more receptions in the same season. "Well, he had a great game today, really. He really competed well in the game. He played with a lot of toughness and tenacity, and he's been catching a lot of balls," Dolphins coach Nick Saban said of Booker.

Another important note for those that think MM was the Fins problem early this year. It was just a matter of the team coming together, but I guess some people just can't help themselves and feel the need to trash people because they can't deal with the adjustments that need to be made, it also explains why Saban never had a bad word to say about MM. Remember even with Daunte we are not talented enough on O to make a serious push in the post season, it will take another year or two for that to happen.

I think our biggest problem is the O line - get some talent there, fill in some other pieces, and we're close.

ur telling me 3 ppl with 50 catches is good enough for a good offense? dont you think those stats are a bit BS? wow they have 50 catches each and yet our offense is dreadful. plz bro, i dont care if 5 guys have 50 catches, we can't score points if our lives depended on it.

Our offense is not dreadful...we actually rank 8th in total offense in AFC and 16th in the NFL..I wouldnt say that is dreadful..Average, in terms of the entire league, but far from dreadful...

That's for total offense, when you look up scoring offense (which is what SR 7 mentioned, we are 26 out of 32. In the AFC we are 13 out of 16. That is dreaful. Means we take too long to score (a good thing, but not true) or we can't punch it in or throw INTs (a bad thing, and probably true)

Remember when Harrison, Wayne, and Stokley each had 1000 yards receiving 2 seasons ago...Too bad we can't have that...I would rather have a dominating defense than a dominating offense

No, I'm telling you that our problems early in the year weren't MM. He calls a play the players execute the play. Right now they are executing the plays much better. It also said we are much more balanced, that's what happens when the players are able to execute plays, they get mor confidence and you can be much more effective. We need to upgrade the O there's no question about that, but considering what we have, we're playing well.

Dude, I hear what you're saying but in another few years this Defense is going to be a lot different because these old timers like Keith Traylor, who has played very well this year, will be gone.

Unless the rookies step up or the backups the defense could be the problem at that point.
