"I'm a guy that thrives off determination, and I'm determined to be successful in anything I do," Culpepper said. "This is another roadblock. It's a tough roadblock, but I'm glad for the opportunity. I just have to keep doing the things I've been doing."

Enjoy! :dolphins:

And of course, we can't forget Crowder!

"I knew I couldn't play basketball, so I knew I would have to do something to entertain the crowd. I decided to act the fool. It's all for a good cause." — LB Channing Crowder on his comedy antics while coaching during a charity basketball game held by the Randy McMichael Foundation, according to the Macon Telegraph. The newspaper reported that Crowder threw his shirt and pants into the crowd after being ejected for picking up a referee and setting him down in the crowd.

He's a goof! lol

good article. always good to read articles that go in depth of the starters and what not.

keep it up

Channing is swiftly becoming one of my favorite Fins.

Man, how can you not love that guy?

not bad for a third round pick huh? sabans brilliance right there. he knew right off the bat he needed to draft younger LB's and got a gem in his first draft. looking back to sabans first draft i dont know how you could not give him a A. brown, crowder, daniels.

Don't forget about Matt Roth.

Roth didn't have a stellar rookie season, but he plays a position which requires development in the NFL.

Reports have said that Roth has gained muscle this offseason, as well as looked impressive in mini-camps.

I really think the 2005 Dolphins draft class has the potential to become one of, if not THE, best class in Fins history.

Like you said:

Ronnie Brown. (We all know how good he is, and will be.)
Matt Roth. (as stated above, a big season is expected out of him.)
Channing Crowder. (Pro Bowl potential.)
Travis Daniels. (An extremely smart and instinctive corner who also has the size and athleticism.)

Just to play a little Devil's Advocate here for a second:

Brown: Showed signs, still uncertain if he can carry the load for a season.
Roth: Showed very little. Hopefully will be better.
Crowder: No argument here. Was very good.
Daniels: Lacks top level speed, many project as third CB or nickel.

It all really depends on your point of view. I don't think many national analysts would be suprised if Ronnie wore down, Roth worked as a reserve and Daniels was a nickel substitution.

Things could be as you are hoping, but lets at least approach it with some fairness.

Just for the sake of debate I must point out that between TD, Ronnie, and Crowder they combined for more starts than any draft class in the NFL for any team. Each had double digit starts , well I think Crowder only started 9 , but all contributed and played as good as any rookies I can remember since Timbo in his rookie year. The lack of top level speed doesn't matter in Sabans system because all TD has to do is get to where his coverage is and he seemed fine at that to me. I thought he was our best corner last year and will only be better this year. I must agree with your other two points.

You might want to change your sig. Zo is coming back next year from what ESPN reported.

I know. The thing is, Blueprint said that quote in response to somebody else's post.

I'm glad he got his ring. I still hate George Shin for trading him and LJ when they were with the Charlotte Hornets and making the playoffs every year. He is the dumbest owner in sports history IMO.

Travis Daniels is no slower than Sam Madison has been since the day we drafted him. Daniels had a top notch year...as a rookie. That doesn't happen all that often man. I don't care if he DID know the system, this is still the NFL and you're not going up against college receivers and college systems anymore. NFL receivers are the biggest, fastest, and best...and NFL systems will focus on a weakness and ATTACK you through schemes. That latter is what Madison tried to impress on Travis, don't worry about the big bad NFL receivers...worry about the big bad NFL coordinators. Recognize what the system is trying to do to you first and foremost.

Everyone keeps talking about Ellis Hobbs and I liked Ellis but I still wonder why they don't talk about Travis Daniels because that man looked solid.

I don't think it's ever been a question with Nick Saban so far this off season that Travis Daniels is a starter for us. I don't see where all this nickel talk is coming from. Initially Saban WANTED to use Daniels at nickel, but he was a rookie! Of course he wanted to use him at nickel! You don't start rookie corners in the NFL, not if you want to have a halfway decent pass defense you don't. Daniels was forced to start because Howard sucked and we had nobody better.
