That game tonight fit one of my best systems. I've mentioned it here many times before:

"Bet against any home underdog that won its last game outright, also as a home underdog."

The 49ers upset Baltimore last Sunday at home as a 2.5 point underdog. Tonight they were no match for Seattle as basically a touchdown home underdog.

That system is great because it often produces lopsided covers. The home team has a false sense of contentment and the road team is forewarned. Besides, any team that is home underdog twice in a row probably has considerable issues. The system doesn't produce many plays but it is plug and play all over the place -- college and pro football and basketball.

I'm not sure if anyone here pays attention to these systems I give out. Maybe a few people. That's why I'll mention the guidelines occasionally. It's preferable to giving out subjective picks that mean nothing going forward.

That 49ers head coach is brutal. He is punting the ball on 4th and 4 with 4:45 remaining, then calls time outs on defense to set up the next possession in which he punts on 4th and 3. This is what I mean about the need to make sure you have a special guy in charge. The 49ers brass had all the wrong priorities and now is stuck with this goof.

Kaepernick needs to go play for Chip Kelly in Philly. Perfect fit. The Niners coach makes Joe Failbin look like a genius.
