IMO i think Vernon Carey should be starting. Our Offensive Line looks absolutely horrible... we might as well use this time to groom Vernon into a decent linemen for next season. I only Hope Damian Macintosh can provide something for the line. Im happy to hear Wade Smith is benched now. We need to get Seth Mcinney replaced because he was to blame for several sacks last week.
 
I dont think Vernon is better than StClair.

If he was, im sure he would be in. Im willing to take baby steps and see if the change with McIntosh was a good one and if we see improvement. If they still stink and the right side is weak, then move Carey in. The jury is still out that Vernon couldnt break the lineup in training camp and preseason.

He wasnt saying Vernon was better.... He was saying to put him in there to learn.
 
He can learn in practice all year, and come in in week 11, if we are out of the playoff picture.
 
If Carey comes in this year, the best position would be RG. He would definitely get schooled at RT.
 
How is Seth McKinney responsible for sacks that came from outside blitzes?
 
The Eagles had Shawn Andrews at RG. We should put Carey in there and just go with it. He can always move later.

WTF is you peoples obsession with dogging McKinney????? For God sake, the man is responsible for snapping the ball, double teaming the NT, and calling out line adjustments. HOWEVER.....he can't call out a line adjustment if the Tackles don't relay to him that there is a freaking blitz coming from their outside...NOR CAN HE go over and block the blitzing ends himself.

Get off Seth's nuts. The fact you people just feel like grabbing McKinney's name out of the air to blame someone for us sucking is assinine! If you have no logical football knowledge to provide, STFU and stop bashing people who are actually HUMANS
 
Wanny knows that hadnot and carey are the best for the right side of the line. Why doesn't he put them there??
Wanny just doesn like playing younger players. Plain and simple. I bet if he was still GM he would've kept Ruddy and the right guard (can't think of his name???), just because they're veterans and he knows what he has in them.

Where as the younger guys he actually has to do his job (COACH, TEACH)!:shakeno:
 
Boys I think we are missing it here ! When did the Oline REALLY start to suck? Think about it, TONY WISE! The problem is Coaching starting with DW then Foerster and Wise.
 
Very True Dolphanaholic this line has gotten progressively worse every year and has finally hit rock bottom the sad thing is individually this unit might have more talent the the 2002 unit that gave Ricky 1700 yards. I dont think Wise has a clue how to develop a young O-lineman one of the best talent evaluators (of O-line) Fisher from Tenn said that W Smith was going to be a good player in the league and they had him tagged to draft...shame for him he ended up here instead. This line is unmotivated and unless a player steps up to fill that role they are going to suck all year.
 
Actually The 2002 line was better than the 2001 Line. Remember Specer Foulau at LT? Were we Not shut-out that year twice. Against SF and NY I believe.
 
Wade Smith was passable last year I mean he blew some assignments but last week he looked like he never played a down in the NFL. It really makes you wonder if McKinney is infact blowing the calls
