Never saw any reason WHY that was?
Does this bother any-one to see our No.#1 Pick that we traded 2 picks for sitting on his $$$ for a whole game????
Bad enough Dave gave 2 picks up for Wade Smith....now this???

Nobody seems to have a lot of input on this. IMO we should've at least let him play a half. McDougle looked like a deer in headlights out there a few times.

maybe the coach just decided to give the backup some playing time. or the backup performed better in practice....

Hopefully someone can shed some light on Carey. He hasnt done too badly and good things are expected. Im a little confused as to why he didnt play.

For the first time since the opener, the Dolphins didn't rotate their offensive tackles, but it was Stockar McDougle and not Vernon Carey who played the whole game at right tackle. Saban, who insisted again on Monday that the Dolphins basically have three tackles, said McDougle was playing well enough that he didn't feel the need to rotate.

I don't know that Stockar was playing THAT well....

If we had won the game by a good margin then i probably wouldnt argue with that but we were 17-0 down at one stage and Carey still didnt get a look in! The OL apart from the dumb penalties didnt do too bad but if i was Carey i wud be miffed.

Is it any reason we were so bad last year. #1 picks under wannstupe Fletcher, Moore, Carey. All are busts. Carey has a small chance to play but as a number one pick he is a bust Imo.

Vernon Carey is NOT a bust. He's been playing great so far and will only get better. He also has a much higher up side than any other lineman we currently have on the team.

He has responded well to Houck's techniques and just needs time to develop.
